I recently purchased several shirts from Collars & Co, hoping to find a new go-to brand for my wardrobe. Unfortunately, my experience with their products has been nothing short of disappointing. The first issue arose with a black polo shirt that emitted a strong fishy odor from the collar and buttons. This was not only unpleasant but also persisted even after washing, contaminating other items in the laundry. Despite notifying Collars & Co, the replacement shirt I received suffered from the same problem, indicating a severe oversight in quality control. Furthermore, I have encountered stitching failures in multiple shirts, with buttons needing resewing after just one wash and buttonholes unraveling prematurely. For a brand at this price point, I expect a hassle-free experience and a level of quality that reflects the cost. While I appreciate the fit and style of Collars & Co's shirts, these issues have significantly undermined my confidence in the brand. It is evident that there are shortcomings in managing the quality of their products, which is disappointing for someone who was initially excited about becoming a loyal customer. In conclusion, my experience with Collars & Co has been marred by poor quality control and oversight, ultimately leading me to reconsider my loyalty to the brand.
I just got mine in the mail today 11 25 23 tried it on the medium fit's me perfectly. I will be ordering more color's and patterns. I love the way they look and fit. So perfect.
Thank you sir! Hate polo shirts because of collar lameness. Going to try Collar and Co. Really appreciate the fact you washed them and talked about non wrinkles. Need a decent work shirt for office that can breathe and look great with blazers or sweaters. Leveling up my wardrobe has been challenging.
You’re welcome, glad you enjoyed it! I used to hate polos before getting these. The truly non wrinkle aspect is great, I’ve stuffed them in a suitcase for a week and they still look good!
I just discovered these shirts. I love the deep placket it has so much style. And the fabric it is made of is smooth and shimmers. I just ordered my first one. They look so crisp all the time. I hardly ever wear button up shirt's but I think this shirt will change that.
I did this a lot in the fall, winter and spring. Still do it on cool summer nights. Super easy to pull on a sweater without long sleeves, and you are right, they look really nice!
They are true to size. I’m a medium in t shirts, dress shirts, and flannels. The medium fit is nice. Slim in the waist, but enough room in the shoulders and arms.
It's more formal or smart casual. I would probably wear it to formal events or restaurants or meetings but I would opt for Ralph Lauren or Lacoste for bowling or golfing or hanging out with friends at home 😅
The company's customer service is brutal. They advertise 24-48 hours processing time but it's more like 15 days or longer. Furthermore, their return policies are not honored and they won't let you cancel orders. Don't waste your money on their hype and go with a trusted brand
I only wear Ralph Lauren and Lacoste polos. They look killer on me and their quality is great. And iv never had a collar issue with them. That is a canard. Sorry but I wouldn’t be caught dead in one of these Collar Co shirts. They strike me as WalMart or H&M budget shirts, screaming you can’t afford the real thing
You could. It’s not as classic as a real dress shirt, since the placket only goes down halfway. If it’s a hot summer day, I wouldn’t hesitate to wear a tie with the white polo. Most people wouldn’t notice. If it were under 80 degrees, I would stick to a dress shirt instead, as it just looks more complete.
These run slim, but are pretty true to size. I wear a medium in shirts, and sometimes the shirts are a bit tight, but these are spot on. It sounds like the XL would fit you better, but you can always try both and return whichever one doesn’t fit correctly.
@@tommilano5431 thanks okay. I have a feeling the XL will work but I’ll order both. I have a 44 chest and 16” arms so I think I’ll look like a sausage in L. Have you tried the cutaway collar? So many of my polos are seemingly already cutaway so this may be my choice. Love to get your opinion. The original looks a bit big/high. The semi more golfing.
@@Sb631flex I’m not really into the cutaway or spread collar, and what they call English spread looks to outdated. The semi spread works for me, it’s classic but not like it’s from the 1990s. The button down collar is good as well, I have one of those.
I haven’t, and I have not been kind to these shirts. You could try ironing the crease out with some starch, or contact the company to see what they recommend. If not, maybe moving to a different brand for polos like Charles tyrwhitt (never tried, but they look good).
I have 3 Charles Tyrwhitt shirts they’re really nice. I’d recommend cold wash, hang dry those btw. But nice shirt. Runs very slim fit but true to size so go with your tshirt size they’ll fit really good.
@@tommilano5431so funny like you I’m on safari for the best polo as well. I still think Dillards is the best hunting. They have great brands and killer sales. I’m liking the Hart Schaffner Marx brand check em out. Great fit and styles. The full button down “coat front” are kinda my jam right now. One of the oldest running clothiers in America 130+ years going now. G8 brand. 👍🏻
These shirts have stitching that shows in the back that make it look cheap and unrefined. Had to return immediately. State & Liberty polos are similar wo the horrid stitching.
They look perfect from a design standpoint, but also very shiny. Not sure about the whole polyester thing. Pity there is nothing like this here in Europe.
They are really nice! Hopefully more companies will make polos with stiff collars in Europe. You can always use something like slick collar to keep your shirt collars standing up straight.
Never wear a short sleeve shirt under a sport coat. You should always see some shirt sleeve under the coat sleeve whether the shirt is a dress shirt, polo or whatever it is.
I’m not sure, I wasn’t a fan of it either when I first saw it. It probably needs to go lower to be more formal and give the placket more structure. Thanks for watching.
