First off, two different company and secondly, "Collection of Mother" just sounds..... wrong... Especially if you don't know about the Mother/Earthbound games. ^^;

I feel like that game collection should be named Mother collection instead of Collection of Mother.

Now there's another Japan exclusive game with the number 3 in its title that could use some localization. Here's hoping.

luís eduardo pereira I've never played any of those three games and know next to nothing about them, only that they are classics of the genre and are beloved by many. Would you recommend this collection (the physical version) to me/ someone that has never played them, or did they not age that well ? I'd be really curious for your reply :)

@@razorblade9907 hello, I recommend yes, but I do not know how faithful these games will be to the originals. the first was released for the original gameboy the monochrome. I do not know if it will have a color filter, the original did not have what I know. But it is a play, the story is simple and very direct, but the gameplay is varied and does not get bored. Maybe it's the hardest to recommend for all three. The second is a classic of snes, maybe the difficulty is a problem, the balance of the game is very disloyal in some parts, but the fact of being able to play in multiplay with up to three players is sensational, it is worth it that the remaster available in the Steam. The third is the best of the three fired, it was released for the snes only in Japan, but you find hacks in his English on the internet, it is the first time it will be launched in the West. For me it's the third best snes RPG just from Final Fantasy 6 and Chrono Trigger, and by very close to be honest. You have 6 characters, you can choose three, which gives a variety and causes an immense replay effect, except that the characters have evolutions inside the game. The graphics and sound are perfect and the combat has hit here the perfect balance between difficulty and fun. Anyway I highly recommend it.

Though I have to admit I died a little on the inside for the fact Secret Of Evermore isn't on this collection. And for the fact if you want physical you have to wait till the end of August.

@@Oh-Ben And honestly I knew at the time of writing that comment that I should have put in the comment that I knew why it wasn't. Having said that it doesn't change the fact I do wish it was in there. Even if it was an unlock after beating all the other games it would be cool. Again I know why it isn't and I completely understand that. Also it doesn't change the fact that I am going to get this collection (physical edition) when it comes out.

@Smash 456 i think i'm on repeat number 6. I nearly passed out after number 5, when i booted up the game after purchasing it (number 4)

@Smash 456 They aren't calling it Mother 4 anymore in order to avoid a possible cease and desist, but I forgot what it's now being called.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the Mother 4 fangame got rebranded well over a year ago (maybe two).

lets just hope trials of mana is a much better remaster than secret of mana

Secret of Mana and to a larger degree FF Legends has aged quite a bit but still are good. Trials of Mana is contender in the top JRPGS. It just never hit western shores so people never got to play it as easily.

Well, it will be coming! 😃 Now we hope we'll be getting also Dawn of Mana.

This collection made a Mana fan, so I'm looking forward to playing Legend of Mana this summer. Dawn I would also be interested in. Sword of Mana too might be interesting.

Hopefully this does well and they get the hint. We will buy SNES games because they're still fantastic story and combat. Everything isn't about flashy state-of-the-art cgi.

Im willing to bet they'll do a FF8/9 Remaster of it. A remake would be great, but if they somehow still have the assists still around I would love to see them backgrounds in HD.

The Ultimate Octobot Run it by Nintendo? No... Nintendo has no say whatsoever in what SquareEnix does with its own property. Sure, they could say “No” to it being in the Switch maybe, but they could just release it on a different platform instead then.

Vipes3 Evermore was an American developer not associated with the Mana series.

Why not play the original? These games are the exact same as the original too. It's not like adding Sword of Mana to the collection would provide you a better experience.

For its time it worked but yes, they could of updated it and just kept the crit line and everything would of been fine.

I REALLY hope it got a new translation. The original is just a mess from what I’ve seen. And SquareEnix seems to like retranslating their games for each release, so there’s a chance they did for this game as well. They could use the one from the remake maybe!
