Tractors changed EVERYBODY'S agriculture. We didn't have widespread use of tractors here where I live in the sountheastern US until the 1950's. My father used mules until my grandparents bought a Ford tractor

Tractors and technology change Agriculture all over the world. In 1920, 30 percent of Americans live and worked on farms with a population of just 105 million. Now it 1.3 percent in the USA are farmers.

I was interested in Soviet tractors since i see a T-40 tractor in S.T.A.L.K.E.R shadow of Chernobyl i live close to Nicaragua they buy 1000 KAMAZ 215 tractors from Russia but the news company where more interested that they put era bricks in old t72 tanks and say it was a thread.

If there weren't any cyrillic title cards people probably would've thought this was farming in Ireland in the 1920s with that music!😅

Fordson model F....10-20 and 15- 30 McCormick Deering...Farmall Regular... There was also a Case model unknown. Identified by the unique steering wheel design. ( All that was shown) The crawlers are " Monarch " Allis Chalmers. Plow model " Little Genius" No 8 and No 10...and cute little No 1 " Little Wonder" recognized by no tail wheel. International Harvester. Interesting to note. The design of a few of these machines was imported. For the Fordson tractor anyway. As the top radiator tank bears what appears a Soviet name.

Yes, the Russians started by importing a number of Fordson N's as well as McCormick Deering 15-30's.Then they started building their own tractors of the same type. They seem very pleased with their new tractors. I would have been too. My parents depended on horses until 1947.

Sadly even with the introduction of tractors to the Soviet Union, Russia under the communist system went from being an exporter of wheat to an importer. A Russian comedian used to joke that America had bread just like in Russia, made from Kansas wheat.

The introduction of tractors in the US in the 30's had bad consequences for tenant farmers, Less people were necessary to farm lands so many became homeless during the great depression.

@sergei sputnikov today my gran told me, she read in the paper to listen for her smart meter making a beeping noise. That will signal an attack by Russia. Because they have been checking out our infrastructure in the North Sea. I hope she was joking. Also have you heard the Ukrainian song dikoye pole by Yarmak? It’s pretty cool

Te kilka traktorów i maszyn pracowało w kołchozach (spółdzielniach rolnych) na kilku tysiącach hektarów. Traktory często pracowały w nocy, oświetlając pole lampami naftowymi zamontowanymi na traktorach.

I'm curious to know if John Deere or Ford had a hand in developing tractors for the Soviet Union.
@UshankaShow
@UshankaShow Год назад
There was no "developing". The Soviets just purchased 10,000 Fordson tractors and later the whole factories, with equipment and tractor-making license. The famous Stalingrad tractor factory came from the the US, even the buildings, and began manufacturing Caterpillars, whech got the new name Stalinets.
