Wichita, Meriden, and owned a Trucking business in all plus had two restaurant Truck Stops as well as a lake resort at Lake Perry. Ozawkie, Lake Wood Hill's Resort. I was a Beef Trucker for M. Bruenger INC of Wichita, as well a National Carrier's of Liberal. And Becker Oil Transport of Eldorado, Kansas. I also owned the Mobil Home oark on Meridien Avenue in South Wichita, Kansas. Many people who enjoyed Country and Western Music and Rodeo as well as Western Shows in the 50' -70's also knew me as Clem Johnson or Cousin Clem depending on which Character I was portraying. LOL Cousin Clem was a Hillbilly and old Country boy.
Thanks for the trip, more of the biding process would help a lot of us see what the different lots bring. You're doing a great job filming these auctions.
It was a good sale. I wound up with 8 vehicles and several pallets of stuff. I’ve already sold half of them. Unfortunately my media mod messed up and didn’t record any audio for the vlog I did, so watching yours will have to do haha!
How much did that '59 Ford F-100 NAPCO sell for? That NAPCO Ford and that Ford dump truck with the dirt box would of been the things I would of bid on.
Did you see Mr. GP's video of the farm auction where a collection of old tractors from the 20's through the 50'a were sold? Must have been 25 of them. The prices some of those tractors sold for seemed incredibly low! Less than $1K for many of the older tractors. I noticed a Nigerian fellow was bidding. Apparently, the prices were low enough that he could afford to ship his purchases to Africa and sell them at a profit. How many Farmall and McCormick-Deering tractors can you fit in a 40 foot shipping container? Please respond to this post. I would like to hear your thoughts about the prices old tractors sell for at these auctions. Thanks.
The Laguna you don’t see very often. Not sure the value, but not common. DeSoto worth buying. Studebaker more desirable to me than the Mustangs. I would bid on the 3 of them anyway. Thanks for listing price on screen. Nice touch. The wgn went to high for what I thought it should. Looks like you had a fun day!
I saw a couple useful things there and definitely could use a one ton dually. But who ever was bidding on those mustang's must have money to burn. Unless the 68 was a very early one with a 289 it just doesn't carry much value seeing most 68s were all automatic. The 65-66 has a bit more value if its a factory V8 car especially with a clutch. But the market for cars right now isn't very strong and it costs a bunch to make em road ready again. I personally think people were bidding stupid money. Thanks for the video.
I think the 68 Mustang for $2500 was the best deal there. I just sold one for $15,000. It was a 6 cylinder 3 speed. Mustangs and Camaros are the most popular collector cars for people with average incomes. I don't know what those 40s Mopars went for but it was too much. They cost too much to restore and are hard to sell because they are ugly.
My grandmother bought a brand new 1973 Chevy Laguna with the 350 the swivel bucket feed the shift on the floor dual-exhaust it was a nice car we got to take it from Illinois Down to Georgia in about 1976? She ended up trading it in on a 1977 Impala and the car before that was a 67 Camaro Rally Sport black 327 white interior bucket seats she ended up giving it to my mom in 1973 because she bought the Laguna.
The s 3 and the black z28 was my fav out of the sale idk why the s3 I guess thinkin it was the last death lick for the GM muscle cars @ the z28 that was a nice car not much on the tops but it had been a highly option car great video thanks for sharing
Do you read the comments on older posts? I saw a lot of nice rigs here and think that your going the right way buying some of the less popular now cars as they just haven't hit their stride yet.... definitive word is "Yet"!! I would of killed to had some of those when new.
Yes, I do see some of that happen. Trends come and move. Station wagons used to be unloved, then became darling collector vehicles. Then old pickups, patina finishes, step vans, and boogie vans. Right now, 1970s and 80s Caprices, G bodies, and other big GM cars are hot, especially two doors and convertibles. I want to work on a video covering those soon.
laguna s3 a future collectable for sure, gm duallies are hot, even the suburbans are getting good $ in my parts. wagons are hot right now so not surprised that one went high. pontiac 6000's future collectables? lord i hope not, crusher bait or demo cars. The mustangs went fairly cheap, were they v8 cars? Some neat old iron there.

Waste of money fixing these vehicles up, especially in today’s economy. You’ll never get your money back. People better hang on to their money because we’re headed for a economic inflationary collapse.
@@Oldcarnut63 it takes money to get them going again. I think that’s why so many guys are going to the patina look, and I don’t blame them. It’s a good hobby. The sad thing is before long you’ll need a wheelbarrow full of dollar bills to buy a loaf of bread. When I watch these auctions I see less and less people bidding, most are attending these auctions to daydream about what they remember about better, simpler times. People are slowly being squeezed dry by high prices, It would be nice to be able to recover the money invested.
@@anthonygaby6617 wouldn’t it be funny if we suffered an EMP attack and the only vehicles you’d be able to drive were the old cars that didn’t have to depend on computers to operate? Always good to have at least one old non computerized operational vehicle in emergencies.
