Hey Gem. Not cool man. Why you gotta be knocking my coverless copy of Hulk #181....!!!??? 😡 I got it about 8 years ago. A guy listed it on eBay for only $86.....!!! 🤯 It was up for less than 30 seconds when I bought it. Right after I paid, the guy said he got about 15 messages all at once offering him between $200-$300 for the book. But he was an awesome seller saying that since I was the first and paid right away, a deal was a deal and he sent it to me. 👍😁 Save for the missing cover, it's complete and nice and flat with great page quality. One of my better purchases... 🤘
Thanks for the info. 👍 But a couple of years later, I bought another #181 that was missing the Marvel Stamp and married the cover from that one to the coverless one.... 🤘 Thankfully it was before the prices really started to go up. I'll keep the giclee in mind if I ever decide I want a cover for the other one..... 👍
I was going through books i had sitting off on a bookshelf and I pulled out a Batman 251, about 4.5 maybe a 5. It has the Mark Jewelers ad. It’s the only book I have out of a couple thousand that has it. Feeling lucky

Batman # 251 is still undervalued imo. It was worth twice what it is going for now during the boom. My 8.5 isn't going anywhere until it is worth at least 2K.
That will be a long-time hold, but I hear you. I didn't do very much serious buying during the boom, it all seemed way too unnatural to me. At some point we will see another big surge in comics, but it may take 10-20 years.
@@Just_Pele I'm just annoyed because for years 251 wasn't getting the recognition it deserves. Now it is, but prices have really fallen since 2021. I bought my copy for $80 way back when so..yeah, all my books are long term hold. It's the only way to enjoy your collection and invest at the same time. Old is gold.
Looks like the high end graded books are reaching their max and coming back down a bit (I mean in all honesty, when the prices start reaching those levels, you start severely limiting the pool of people that can purchase them), whereas the lower grades just continue with their normal fluctuations....
My cuz had hulk 181 and would not even sell it to me to keep in the family years ago. And it took it to a local comic shoo in va and I know they did not really give him anything for it :( but that was like 20 years ago
