I’m weeping for these precious young people. I know from having a daughter myself how hard they have worked. College acceptance or rejection does not define you but I’m so happy for these kids and they aren’t even mine.

I’ve already gone through 2 of these similar experiences, I took special competitive schools for both elementary and high school (it’s common here for high schools to also have exams and admission processes). I got lucky,got into every school I applied for. Can understand where the nerves and excitement come from, I remember the admissions video for my current high school was like a minute long and it was just 30 seconds of nothing and then I heard congratulations, popped my head from the couch where I was burying it in out of worry and started screaming like crazy. Even asked my dad to replay the video to confirm. Got 2 letters from the other school, first one 4 minutes after and a second 2 weeks later. So thankful that I pushed through and now that knowledge also helps me move forward. Also if it wouldn’t have been for the elementary school I applied to I wouldn’t have been able to use my brain to full capacity and thus I wouldn’t have made it to the high schools. Fun little tidbit too: I had 2 exams taken, one exam collided two of the schools and one was the weekend after the other. I remember waking up at 1 am the first time and 3 am the second. I had so many nerves I couldn’t fall asleep so I just did practice questions until sunrise 😂 I know it’s not the same but it’s as close as I can get so to all these people congratulations, your hard work paid off and you deserve this :)

And I’m just here crying cause I know I could never make my family or even my mom this proud, hahaha

Really wished I filmed my reaction when I got my acceptance letter, I had gotten home from work one day and the lobby staff person told me that I got a package today, at first I thought it was my phone case I ordered on Amazon then the second she handed me it I knew it wasn’t that but an acceptance package from the college I applied to 😭❤️, I remember screaming and the joy I had that day, I did however recorded my mom and sisters reaction but I still wish I had my own recorded. The second I got to my room I called my dad and screamed that I got accepted to the first college I applied, I will never forget that day 😆.
