College Bar Under Investigation After LSU Student Dies 

Nope, there is no such thing as consensual sex when the woman is drunk. You can't even sign a contract or even vote when your under the influence of alcohol. There's not a jury in this country that's going to let these three get away with this.

Whatever happened to the buddy system? No one should ever leave a drunk female by herself. And if this wasn't rape, why would they leave her beside the road? And why did they leave a woman that drunk beside the road anyway? They should either have taken her straight home, or left her alone.

How could the sex be consensual when she was highly intoxicated? She was not able to consent to anything in her state of mind. May God have mercy on all their souls.

She couldn’t even cross a road without getting hit and killed, how was she in a position to consent? She obviously wasn’t! Those men raped her and tossed her to the side of the road for whatever reason. The bar should definitely be accountable for serving her under age. Condolences to the family, I hope they get justice. The drinking culture on campuses is sad. Something needs to change so that other young people don’t lose their lives or become victims of molestation .

At a BAC of .3 and above… there is NO SUCH THING as consent or consenting.

Ever since undergrad, I've always learned these precautions about clubbing: - Always get a fresh drink directly from the bartender, or an unopened bottle/can - Never accept any drinks, especially pre-opened bottles/cans from anyone - Always keep an eye on your drink, and carry it around with you - Ladies, have a buddy system especially on the way to bathrooms or at the bar I've been acquainted with a few club bouncers and they've told me that they always intentionally let more women in the club than men during opening hours/early in the night so as to attract all the men to visit it later on in the night (they try not to let the women leave early).

Only part of this story.... She wanted to get out of the car and called an uber. Unfortunately, the uber ran her over, because she was staggering in the middle of a dark road and the driver did not see her in time. The saddest part is there were no hero's whom were gentlemanly enough to escort her safely back to her dorm, I stead they took advantage of her, and allowed her to wander the streets! SHAME!!

YOUNG MEN DONT HANG AROUND DRUNK FEMALES. ESPECIALLY BLACK MALES. YOU WILL BLAMED FOR ANY CONSEQUENCES OF HER BAD CHOICES. This is an issue of PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY. As an Uber/LYFT driver alone drunk females who aren't my passenger get into my car all the time. I also watch as they stumble through speeding traffic causing accidents and nearly getting hit. It's unfortunate but bad decisions can cost one person their life.

I was dating a guy and I told him that I wanted to remain celibate until I married and back then I use to drink. I went to a party with him and I was the one drinking and I woke up the morning to him next to and realized I had sex with him. I felt absolutely violated and shame. That is one of a thousand reasons why I don't drink anymore and I found out that some men simply don't respect you when your vulnerable.

A woman (or anyone) who's under the influence automatically can't give consent. esp not if they can hardly even speak.

Tbh this is sad but it’s literally her fault, consequences on drinking underage is known and realized before walking into the bar, she knew what was right and wrong and she just choose the wrong.

Tbh this is just an observation of mine but I never understand how getting super drunk and partying so hard that you fall to the floor is so appealing to ppl. Maybe it's because I dealt with alcoholic family members and always had bad experiences. ? But it just looks so sloppy and disgusting and never looked like the kind of life I ever wanted to lead. I don't mind going out for a drink or drinking a beer or wine a couple times a year but to drink everyday or every weekend is just not for me. But like I said, I've had really bad experiences with alcoholic so that could be why I feel so strongly about it... 🤷‍♀️

No disrespect to the young lady's untimely demise, but you cant just blame the bar. Whether you're 18 or 21 if you consume too much liquor you will pass out. It's rare to find a college student that goes to a bar and has discipline even when they know they're "lightweights". Yes the bar should've had better enforcement of underage drinking but these kids shouldn't have been there. They will either get fake id's or pregame before they get there but they will drink if they can.

Always keep an eye on your drunk friends..dont leave them alone and never go drinking alone if thats how drunk you wanna br

Permissible underage drinking is where this situation went wrong. It is illegal. If she had been turned away for being under 21, she would likely be alive. Start there! The bar owner is just as liable.

.3 ...That bar just kept giving her alcohol. (and if I remember correctly) not only is it illegal to serve underage under 21, but it is also illegal to serve intoxicated people in Louisiana, and again at .3 there's no way, they didn't know she was WASTED. That is Alcohol Poisioning range.

The bar is negligent for several reasons. The young lady couldn't give consent when she was that impaired. My heart goes out to her family and friends.
