I live in the UK so only applied to 5 uni's down here but I am also still waiting to hear back from UCL. They are taking such a long time it's painful haha. But congratulations on all of your acceptances. I was smiling throughout all of them! I am sure they are well deserved. Getting into 3 ivies Yale, Brown and Columbia is amazingly impressive so a big congrats to you!

hey! congratulations on your acceptances. are you planning to pursue any waitlists? I was also an accepted Columbia egleston scholar as well as an accepted Cornell, Princeton, and yale scholar (not much money though for the last three). it's a great opportunity for Columbia, but in terms of financial aid, it helps somewhat. there's a $10K stipend which you probably know about, but that money is designed for you to pursue research opportunities so not financial-aid designated money. I was honored, but I realized that while it is very prestigious, ivies dont give much financial aid out. im currently at Johns Hopkins and I LOVE it here. I really encourage you to push for that waitlist acceptance, if you wish. hopkins has world class research as you can probably imagine, and lots of financial aid (so much more than ivies to the point that I only pay like $10K a year rather than at ivies I would've paid almost full tuition). **I really want you to think about this--try NOT to get caught up in the fact that those schools are ivy leagues. if its financially unrealistic to attend, all of the top 10s are on the same level as an ivy. ivies are essentially a sports conference league. hopkins, yale, Columbia.... all these 3 colleges along with many more have the same prestige level no matter what. yale and brown are not the strongest engineering schools, whereas Columbia and hopkins are much stronger. just a thought for you as you select because I understand having practically similar experiences and offers as you. I want to share my thoughts for how I selected where im at now. just comment on this thread back if u have more questions because im here to help you!
@@filippofonsecaI’m not sure what my guy is talkin about some ivies give amazing financial aid, for a tip you can send back your financial aid package asking for a lower one so you can attend and generally they somewhat match another schools packages or lower your cost by a few thousand. From my experience Harvard does have the best financial aid compared to any other US top school, congrats on all of your acceptances, best of luck
@@wallace6623 I'm sorry to hear that, man. Don't beat yourself up about it; there's only so much one can do. As much as we like to think it's not down to luck, once you put yourself in a decently good position, there is a certain amount of variability and chance in these things. As cliché as it sounds, what matters is that we do our best at everything. I could have very well gotten rejected from all 5 ivies I applied to!

Anche io sono italiana e ho applicato a 12 università negli Stati Uniti quest'anno! Anche io waitlisted per Duke e altri 3 colleges🥲 e non sono stata accettata a 6, tra cui Stanford. È sicuramente difficile leggere così tante rejection letters ma sono ancora fiduciosa. Buona fortuna e congratulazioni per le tue acceptances 💙
Ooh, nice!! Financially, Imperial is a bit unfeasible for us as overseas fee payers 😭, but I went to visit a few months ago. Let me tell you, you'll have so much fun! Such a lovely place. And congrats to you as well! I can say from exp that that test was brutal, so props to you 🫡🫶

My friend got into Harvard, but got rejected from Wellesley and waitlisted from Clark uni, Skidmore, Smith, Davidson and Kenyon Colleges💀💀 Edit: Her application is very impressive tho

@@filippofonseca I'm pretty sure I'll be attending Brown this fall, so there's a chance I'll see you! I didn't manage to have any other Ivies as options, but Brown was one of my very favorites because of its Open Curriculum, so everything worked out.
