Helpful brainstorming technique is to think through the experiences you have in your day that are unique to you. I didn't get this until we all ready stories about what family dinner looked like in AP Lang -- completely different across the different students.

The essays have to always being a type of storyline? THe question I am writing of is "TELL US ABOUT WHO YOU ARE. HOW WOULD YOUR FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND/OR MEMBERS OF YOUR COMMUNITY DESCRIBE YOU? IF POSSIBLE, PLEASE INCLUDE SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF THAT YOU ARE MOST PROUD OF AND WHY." And currently I am just adding the description of my self as bullet points, with very specific descriptions and feelings but I am not really sharing any story. So... I am really worried

I have a question. If all students have to write their own essays, how will you determine if that particular student wrote it? I mean, if the student's essay is written by another person. After all, the writing of that student himself is not checked, is it not?

well, they can´t. I think that the important part of writing it yourself is that, since this questions ask about you, you are the person who knows you the most and add the best description to yourself

I'm a little older, 11. I recommend just to focus on your extra curricular and try to know what might make you stand out. 10 more years to know, just grow our your social life. Trust me, join clubs and sports asap.

@@leenstouch2193 well, things like sports or clubs or social events like math team, discovering a new cell and researching on it and even working can all be an “extracurricular”. It doesn’t really matter it can be held at school or even out. There’s some crazy things you can call as extracurriculars that they approve of, for example volunteering for a social project like a library or even tutoring people as a nonprofit.
