USC last year in the Pac-12 championship, losing when your playoff spot was handed a sliver platter, and then proceeding to lose to Tulane in the NY6 bowl was a straight buzzkill
@@weslyfresh85155th ranked strength of schedule. Literally all of those teams are mid. Plus we beat the unbeatable #1 team. Keep crying we in the playoffs and you’re not(also Georgia gonna show why y’all aren’t the better team, they might even show why you shouldn’t be in the top 10😂)
@weslyfresh851 Colorado beat tcu lol I wouldn't be bragging about running through a bunch of 4 and 5 loss teams... next year play some actual competition
@jaretkidd412 yeah, I'm not an FSU fan but I can say, the Comittee screwed this season up, I can't wait to see what they'll do for the 12 ranking teams
@@GermanMapping1871speaking honestly (as a UGA student and lifelong fan) one player shouldn't determine the playoff slot, FSU's defense (spectacular edge) and rushers were always gonna put up a fight even if "Alabama beats them by 20+" on paper - we aren't playing the odds/vegas, we're playing a game where y'all went 13-0 fair and square and won a conf championship with a 3rd string QB
Alabama's real elimination in 2019 was in the Iron Bowl. Would've liked to see more real upsets too like #6 Oregon losing to an unranked ASU in '19... lots of these games were essentialy "quarterfinal" games before the official Semis.
That Tenessee team was an offensive masterclass last year. They should’ve won all their games, but South Carolina and another team had something to say about that
I feel so bad for that Mich St kid. He broke his hip, and his teammates kept jumping on him and slamming him around despite him telling them to stop because he was injured.
That Jordan Travis injury looks like the Kevin Ware injury of the 2013 NCAA Tournament against Duke which in that case Ware had broken his leg trying to block a 3 point shot, landed awkwardly, and then part of his bone was sticking out.
Three seconds in and I’m already needing a cigarette to calm the nerves down (I am a Michigan fan since 2011, please don’t flame my poor sports team choices)
It would be a major upset if Liberty actually wins that game. They are not the best G5 team. Hardly even top 5. Weak strength of schedule pads the offensive stats. Defense is not very good.
@@vascobroma8907 Im a diehard oregon fan, and i can agree with u to an extent. Oregon always has one of the best offenses in the country, and some of the best uniforms, but their defense lets them down in the biggest moments. All they had to do in this case was not let penix and dillon johnson run down the field, and they failed to do that with the game on the line. It's just a yearly reminder as a ducks fan that we will always be one game away from playoffs, but in the final game we will lose because our defense fell apart
fsu didnt even have one of these and they still got screwed over 😂 edit: yes ik jordan travis is in this video but nothing other than pure bias should have gotten them kicked out bro you dont kick out teams just because of an injured player
Florida States has been the only time that it didn’t take a loss of an entire game, but rather a single play to “Eliminate” them, and the outcome of that specific play is something that can happen to literally anyone at any moment of any play and literally no way to prevent it. They did what they were supposed to do but something that literally can’t be controlled is what killed them.
*ESPN invitational chances. No seeding for an actual playoff is determined by injury. The Travis thing is a scapegoat. Kirk started the 13-0 FSU missing out narrative before JT got injured. Wake up.
@@crutonpreton15 that was the real loss. we would've made the playoffs if we beat Houston and UK. This video wasn't great tbh, missed or were wrong on a few games.
Man if Tua was a 100% and wasn't nicked we wouldn't have lost that game to LSU. At the start of the game we were near the red zone and Tua made a move and the pain caused him to drop the ball. Impressive job by Joe though, Can we send Milroe to whatever camp he went to and came out a throwing beast?
@@willwhitesel2297 yeah our inside LB position in particular was decimated. Shane Lee was forced to play as a true freshman and got ABUSED by Edwards-Helaire all day long. Pretty sure he never played a meaningful down after that 2019 season. Last I heard he transferred to USC before last season, and we all know how good that defense has been.... Injuries are part of it though. We ran into the one team our offense (especially without a fully healthy Tua) wasn't good enough to mask/overcome our defensive issues that year. Phenomenal college football game to watch though.
Florida State being left out of the college football playoff is the most embarrassing, shameful thing that I’ve ever seen in the entirety of college football.
Very unpopular opinion, but I respect you for it. I still think they should have kept the BCS\Coaches polls for the top 4. The "committee" was bs from the start.
I mean honestly it was different w/o the nil and portal because we knew it be bama/geogria , Oregon , osu, Clemson and a odd ball in the mix almost every year , now that the talent is spread across we have more teams competing, instead of the same powerhouses sitting on a ton of 4/5 stars. The top 8 teams in the country all had potential to win it all, I think a 8 team playoff would do more justice than a 12 team but it’s gonna be more interesting regardless.
I wouldn’t say that the 2019 LSU game costed us our playoff chances. It most definitely was a combination of the Mississippi State and Auburn game. We were still in good shape to make the playoffs with that one loss.
Tua's Injury. The 2 pick 6's that Mac Jones threw in the Iron Bowl cost us the Playoffs that year. Alabama wins that game easy without those 2 bad throws. Those 2 plays and the Missed FG. Alabama wins something like 48-34 without those mistakes.
4:09 To be fair, as a Cards fan, THIS wasn't really the game that ended our playoff hopes. We lost in a close game to Clemson on the road. I'd much rather put the Houston disaster here where we got the tar beaten out of us.
I remember reading somewhere, the problem with beating Michigan is how many players and staff members are not taking it serious. Only James Laurinatis and Jack Sawyer were taking it serious. If that’s true, then something has got to change immediately. And one of those two went 4-0 vs Michigan as a player. Something has to change quickly.
Amen to that. I think it's more demoralizing for a defense to allow the offense to drain 6-8 minutes of game clock (and still score) than it is to allow a quick TD on busted coverage. You know what's coming but you still can't stop it. The Rose Bowl is going to be a slugfest this year. (Pun intended)
@FracturedHope01 Beating the top ranked, back to back defending National Champs AND snapping a 29 game win streak but yet Alabama doesn't belong? I despise Alabama, but they more than earned there way in.
@@thetruthhurtsALLTHETIME they did NOT earn it. Alabama played a bunch of nobodies. Chattanooga, Kentucky, bailed out against a below 500 Auburn to name a few as well as a mid Georgia team who trailed nearly every game at half and squeaked out a win all 2023. They lost to Texas, and FSU had a stronger strength of resume at the end of the season and finished undefeated. No, Alabama did NOT deserve to be in. It is clear and blatant SEC bias.
@FracturedHope01 fsu did not have a stronger strength of resume gang. Fsu's biggest win was lsu lol. Alabama has 4 top 25 wins fsu just is not a 4 best team with their second string
@@omegamanGXE 2019 bucko Bama was number 5 and number 4 was UGA who just lossed and became a two loss team some people just dont know what their talking about
I’m glad he did the right thing and showed a clip of Michigan winning a game. People will never give Michigan any credit for anything because of their hateful bias towards UM.
Half the teams either in Transfer portal or declared, idiot. That 2023 FSU team doesn't exist anymore. Talk to me when Bama and Texas don't need help from the Committee to make the Playoffs, clown.
With Carson Beck out and Georgia on their third string, there’s a genuine and reasonable argument that FSU can beat em, especially with the lack of opt outs on the FSU defensive side which is just monsterous
Even if they beat Georgia, smug assholes would still exist saying their strength of schedule kept them out, or a more competitive, dominant top 4 CFP team wouldve beaten them crap, so shut up. The list of stupid, shit reasons the CFP and Boo Radley have given FSU's detractors are nauseating enough that I have to listen to with ESPN, FOX marks and "talking heads" who kiss Alabama's ass every year and then try to act like their "impartial", " objective ", and " reasonable" in their analyses of games and teams. They aren't even trying to hide their biases any more, its ridiculous and pathetic.
UGA and FSU will both be missing star players for the draft, so the game doesnt even matter. Yall need to stop acting like you "know" whats going to happen lol
Someone explain the logic of how #1 Georgia is out because they lost by 3 to another playoff team, but Bama is in despite losing by 10 to another playoff team.
@@wesshibbard6792 yet that argument apparently doesn't always apply? Case in point, why'd they rank Liberty the top G5 team if they have one of the weakest SoS in the country? SMU, Tulane, Troy would have all gone undefeated with Liberty's schedule, and more easily so (they've had fewer points scored on them by better teams).
Bama is neither the 4th strongest team nor is it most deserving. CFP Committee normally favors Bama. Even though without JT FSU would've had a harder time in the CFP, they still could've been competetive. Just look at Ohio State with their 3rd string that one year. CFP expansion should have been this year. Seeing UM's reactions to the decision was hilarious tho
Ducks fans tried to deny my claim of Dan Lanning being the next Brandon Staley. I think they might see my point after Dan cost his team 3 wins against my Huskies and another win against Oregon State over the past 2 seasons
Ducks fan here, and i see what your saying. Ducks are always gonna have one of the best offenses in the country, always gonna be like #6 in the country, but in the biggest moments of our season our defense always lets us down. Its not just to Washington in these two seasons, and it's not dan lannings fault, its every, damn, year. We have choked two nattys, one with a heisman winner, because our defense blew it. And years like this in like 2021 and 2019, our defense blew games that we should have one to put ourselves in the top 4 playoff, rather than end %7 or something. So basically, its not dan lanning, because it's been like this since like forever. I'm waiting for the year where my emotional rollercoaster can finally stop and we win a natty for once, rather than not finishing a season out right
@@Tavali. In my opinion, which is bias as a ducks fan, I think that Bo played better and was better than both Penix and Daniels. I really do think he should have won, but the truth of the matter is that the committee that votes on heisman winners was never going to vote for him to win, solely based on the fact that the ducks failed the beat Washington twice this year, so the voters were already going to think that penix was better cuz penix team won. I just think that Bo had more flashy and explosive heisman moments than penix, and should the ducks have won at least the pac 12 champ he would've been the heisman, but, it is what is is :(
