If a college player stomps on another player's head or neck, you should lose your schollarship, be kicked off the team, and kicked out of the school in general if you are unable to pay the full tuition.
@@markanthony1004 well said. If you cannot control your emotions with millions of people watching, imagine how you act when you think Nobody is watching...
@Repent-and-believe-in-Jesus1 is this a bot or a real person? Both are interesting for different reasons. I'm guessing bot. Something about that seems really dystopian.
Like what was honestly going through his mind there? I’ve never ever seen that taught as a technique to make a tackle ever. Literally didn’t even try to use any other part of his body lol
Because they understand the frustration. If another man is purposely trying to stand over you and put their junk in your face, are you just going to be calm and collected??
@@glennlittle6356don’t get put on your face and then maybe that wouldn’t have happened. If you played football you’d understand. Don’t get put on the ground and that doesn’t happen
Just some FYI's, that stomp at 1:42 was one Brevin Randle. He was suspended indefinitely. That hit at 3:42 was Henry Blackburn that lacerated Tavis Hunter's liver. They made peace shortly after Henry and his elementary-grade sisters were receiving death threats.
I'm sorry, his sisters that are in elementary school? I know people threaten the athletes and their parents over little things, but death threats to young children!? I'm never going to understand people who don't see that their actions have consequences. Those girls are scarred for life.
Believe it or not, helmets will make contact sometimes in a game, but that doesn't make it targeting. He turned his head and led with his shoulder. Wasn't targeting at all.
one thing that's always annoyed me about offset penalties is exactly what happened to Boise state, 1 penalty on Boise state and 3 on Colorado state shouldn't offset each other.
Yea one should offset but the other two 15 yard penalties for unsportsmanlike conduct should be given to Boise state, that and I think Colorado st is lokwey a dirty team
And not only that but everyone seemed to miss that the QB seemed okay on the floor, but then no.77 comes in and kicks him and walks away without anyone even noticing. Crazy!
I agree but not on that play. The first penalty of throwing the guy down I think is kinda gross and then that big tackle guy came and retaliated. I'm fine it offsetting
@@mizer9510 Literally no one was going around making hits like that, boomer. At anytime. Intentionally spearing a guy in the head has been illegal since before either of us were born.
@@mizer9510 Only tame because the defenders calculations were off. In my opinion the intentions were so flagrant that he could have been suspended for more games.
The QBs are are pushing the slide too far. You want them to be good sports and not smash you? go down with more than a tenth of a second for them to let up.
@@RespectfullyImNotReadingThatBSas an Aussie who doesn't understand the rules fully. Is there a saving grace for the tacklers? Seems like with the padding most of the guys who are equal or a bit heavier seem to throw themselves into the QB I don't see how they can stop themselves especially when it looks like the second the defender launches themselves the QB decides to slide
I do have an issue with the Florida - Tennessee one a bit, the QB had plenty of time to take the knee but he doesn’t, he’s trying to eat up the remaining seconds on the clock, yeah we al know what he doing and what he was going to do but until he takes the knee he’s still a target. It’s no different to excessive celebration or when a player should score a touchdown but then weaves about or slows down to eat up clock, unlike the give up slide the play is still live.
@@TheRayOfBlue It's really only a problem since they were down 2 possessions. The hit wasn't actually that dirty, he just shoved the QB to the ground by the shoulders
@@BolognaSwamp so just punt??? i seriously dont get why that was even a flag. its not even a step and the qbs head is at facemask level theres not much way to avoid hitting him up high, let alone the idea that this is in any way dirty
@@TheRayOfBlue so if youre florida punt the ball, youre up 2 scores and tennessee has no chance, instead of doing so you decided to be cute and expect the other team to just stand there and watch.
People gotta stop running around on kneel-downs. Just take the knee. If you run around, the defense is gonna be pissed and try to hit you. Don't tempt them.
I honestly thought the same about Florida, it looked like his knee wasn’t even touching when he was hit. I know he was in the process, but just take the snap and kneel
@@shanewoods1980since it was 4th down, I believe they were trying to run the clock down because the other team would have gotten the ball back. I could be wrong though
the first play is why as a former qb and qb coach i never wanted guys to slide down like that like that. I have seen too many qb's get hurt trying to slide. Go down normally (especially in college) and avoid that big hit potential.
@@mizer9510 I think sliding actually encourages this type of late hit... it is technically late which makes it technically dirty... however it puts the defender in a tough spot trying to stop and avoid the contact theyve already begun to initiate. Thats why I told guys to go down normally...
First play is just a regular hit. You can’t have it both way. Either run and be a runner or slide well before someone initiates a tackle. The “qb slide” isn’t a get-out-of-physics-free card.
QB’s sliding is getting out of hand. The defense goes to momentum tackle, which cannot be stopped. If that’s the case. QB’s should always slide on every play.
The Tennessee vs Florida one wasn't dirty. The knee hadn't touched the ground when the hit occurred and it wasn't a slide where he would be protected. If the QB wants to dance around on a victory formation play and try to run the clock out there's nothing wrong with the defense lighting him up.
@@kwanmccloud5841He got lightly bumped, and the lineman for Florida just used that as an excuse to try to throw punches, a genius move against a guy wearing a helmet.
Is it different In college for targeting? The one hit he kept talking about how the tackler used his shoulder so it shouldn’t be targeting. The shoulder hit was directed to the head&neck area (targeting) it almost seems like there saying targeting is ONLY when you lead with your helmet. Targeting as I understand it is leading a tackle with the crown of your helmet and/or “targeting” an opponents head/neck area
Great video. Always good to capture the DISGUSTING and downright DESPICABLE acts committed over the course of the season. Makes for great entertainment, and it just goes to show once again how these boys put their bodies on the line every game.
I get why fouls during the play offset even if there are different yardage penalties (if lineman didnt hold there would be no chance for PI for example) but after the whistle personal fouls shouldnt offset.
The Gators went into that game with Florida state with the hope of shattering FSU chances of making the playoffs...... well they didn't beat FSU but they did knock them out of the playoffs....
@mizer9510 yeah florida is going backwards under Napier. 6 wins his first year and now 5 wins in his second. If he doesn't get things on track next season it maybe his last.
@@mizer9510 yes I did.... its going to be a long season for them. hate that they are starting off against Miami because im a massive fan of both. there are a few 50/50 games [Tennessee, Mississippi state, old miss, but Kentucky the last 4 years has been a problem same with LSU. Texas, Georgia are a problem and FSU [who I despise] has the momentum in the rivalry. so yeah you're probably on it. outside of Samford and UCF.....rough road ahead. Billy need to reach out Jim McElwain to see if he has any boxes left over that he can use to start packing
That florida/ tennesse one around 5:00 I mean I woulda done the same thing if I was the tennesse player. Florida's qb was literally doing it to mock tennessee. Plus bro wasn't even on the ground when he got hit.
TN CALLED A TIMEOUT TO CAUSE THAT BULLCRAP! They were salty. go watch the whole thing, they called a timeout with 8 seconds left down two possessions because they got their butts kicked and wanted to make the score look better
7:38 No, you can simply call it Spearing (which it was) and he's gone anyway for a Flagrant Personal Foul. A lot of this stuff can be more easily dealt with if you call it the Spearing foul it is.
We should be teaching qb’s to slide earlier. Not defensive players to magically avoid hitting the qb when they’re running full speed and “slide” at the last possible second
They were brought up thru a dirty sports community with no sense of humility or honor. Me growing up just talking to the other team after we score was grounds for being taken out of the next game. My coaches did not play that type of game.
The fact that the refs missed that UTEP player stomping on the Louisiana tech player’s neck was the most pathetic thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Not only a horrible penalty that should require the dude getting thrown off the team but they fact they didn’t see it was really freaking bad, oh my god
@@BondisBourne78not even a buff fan but the ball is literally rolling outta bounds when he gets hit. Colorado st is a very dog shit football team tho so it checks out
😂salty? They won that game bud😂 I think you’re just salty they still LOST despite playing dirty 😂 and he’s putting your squad on blast for it. That’s tough. I’d be salty too 😂
I was at the fsu vs uf game. That was a huge play in the game so of course the defenders are going to be moving full speed and protecting the first down. The qb slid at the last possible moment and yes the hit was hard but idk how the uf players are supposed to hold back in that situation.
I’m a gators fan, gotta agree with your take. Gonna be a penalty 100/100 times though based on how the rules are set up. Nothing can really be done to avoid this either bc these guys are the ultimate competitors so ofc they’re gonna push everything to the limit. The gators players don’t wanna give up the 1st and the QB obv wants the 1st, becomes a game of chicken and once both sides commit it’s too late, really don’t think it was malicious by the defenders, just the outcome of competitiveness and the desire to win
@@zacharyperez9656It's exactly why football is a joke now. Defense can't do anything anymore in fear getting a penalty. Might as well just make it flag football.
I think they need to take this targeting penalty away. The qb needs to be more responsible and slide earlier. If not, we should just go to flag football because the defense will always lose in these situations. He is not even full down yet before he gets blasted near the sticks.
@@ryryfizzleThey don't know where exactly the first down marker is. They are just trying to make a play. You're asking these kids to stop on a dime after they are going full speed. That is absolutely ridiculous. I don't care what team it is. The rules are horrible and actually make it more unsafe. It was not a dirty hit. They hit him with their shoulder pads which is what they've been told to do.
@@ryryfizzleevery viewer knows where the first down marker is because it’s shown on tv. The bright yellow line isn’t out in the middle of the field each play. Those defenders had no clue where exactly they were on the field. This is 100% on the QB so slide earlier or pay the consequences. The defenders are taught to hit low due to concussion issues. If the QB slides last second into their low tackle it is on him. The defenders can’t just play soft because the QB might take them on to gain the first down.
11:15 I don't blame 75 for protecting his receiver. I'd want O-lineman, especially interior, who are ready to destroy someone at any given time if I was a coach or a Quarterback.
“Once they start the slide, the play is over” but they’re allowed to start to slide, fake it, and then take off for more yardage when the defenders give up. I’d hit ‘em too, just to be sure they play is over.
