What are some other tips other have out there for people looking to start a Motion Design Career?

This is great advice! I've been working in 3d/mograph for 15 years and I graduated school with 45k in student loans. I think people assume they're going to be making a ton of money right when they get out of school, but it takes a long time to build up a career. So, right out of school, you're not going to make a ton, and you're going to have a large debt looming over you and you're basically going to be delaying your ability to invest and grow. You have to be super diligent in paying that debt down and you may miss opportunity being shackled to that monthly payment. I sold my car, moved back home and payed it off in two years, but a lot of people don't have that luxury. Student loans are SO predatory. Don't leave college with the deck stacked against you!!! ALSO, now days I use a little c4d, mostly Blender, DaVinci resolve, and clip studio or art studio pro for illustration. Affinity is rad too.
