Great shave and review Mark! What a beautiful and classy razor! You nailed it today when talking about the differences between the recipes. The CC1 is a bit firmer which lets us do the refill pucks (which the ladies like for shower shaving) and it's easier to make which lets us sell it cheaper. At $11 per tub (5oz+) or $6 per puck (3oz+) it's hard to go wrong, but if you want to step it up, the CC2 at $15 is a worthy and worthwhile step up! I also happen to love the Citrus and Basil scent as a nice and generic "fresh" scent that works perfectly as an "every day" soap. Thank you so much for featuring Collette Classic Supply Co, and thank you for making my drives to work especially joyous. Keep on keeping on brother and remember to always #KeepItClassic

I have a tub of the CC1 and one tub of the CC2. I find both of the excellent for building a lather. I would recommend either formula.

I used an open comb Fatip using CC1 soap and did one pass using only the residue slickness. It doesn’t get much better than that. But I wasn’t using cold water to make my lather. Use hot water next time and you might get a result closer to mine

Melbourne. Love your reviews Mark. Like you I frequently get 'low volume' zings. Possibly going too often over same spot (chin's my trouble spot & sometimes jawline) too often. But every now & then I get a zing 'free' shave on 3. Go figure. Keep 'em going.
