In this link you will find a reason to reconsider queens ceasing to lay from autumn to January. Do your best to watch the whole video but if you need to fast track go to about half way to start but dedicate what it takes for the whole second half. You will probably be intrigued to watch the whole video and enjoy the second half even more.
I bought a nuc and no queens were with them.1 hive made a queen and that hive is thriving. The other hive I was sent a queen but now that hive has dwindled down about 60-70% . She is laying but only very little. Not sure what happened. Did they give me an old queen or one that just doesnt produce well or something else? How long do you think it will take that hive to grow? There is plenty of food everywhere. Anything I should do? Thanks for any info.
Hi I live in Hawaii and I just added Second super. I checked it 2 weeks later and the top super is FULL of nectar. Is that normal? I'm wondering why they haven't started moving up with more brood instead of a load full of nectar? Any advice?
In the UK bees mortality is very high on the winter months due to Condensation; How can be that you rap the haves up, Don't you have any mortality with Condensation.?
