Suzuki if you're reading this please keep making the sv650 and don't change it. Coming from GSXR 600 and 750 in my younger years I bought the grey/red model last year to get back on the street in and have already put 7,000 miles on it. I love this bike for commuting and joy riding it's enough power to have fun on but not get me arrested. I plan on putting 25,000 miles on it and then buying another brand new model in a different color and having 2.
I miss the SV650 that I sold two years ago. Suzuki should not discontinue this awesome machine, much better engineered than most of the boring inline two cylinder bikes. Love the blue model and tempted to buy another and keep it forever.
This bike is a classic! It's like the VW beetle,Ford Mustang and Volvo 240 in one! Cool, reliable, bulletproof workhorse and yet a little roaring tiger! 😊❤ Suzuki:Let this bike live on, it's like Sophia Loren, always a looker and fire within 😉
All what the previous owners and all the testers in the internet say about this engine is true! This 645cc V-Twin Engine is really a masterpiece of engineering! I ride one in my 2020 V-Strom 650. In the last 53000 km since I bought it new it took so many abuse (many hours of reving it around 9000 rpm, thousands of loud shifts caused by lacking of concentration on the clutch and throttle, hundreds of cold starts around temperatures at the freezing point and much more) and I never ever had a single issue. No metal debris in the old oil, no high concentration of wear metals in the Oil-analysis, no more oil consumption than approximately 0,15 Liter on 4500km (on/between the last oil change) no nothing!... It is really a reliable engine and I will buy me another one in a couple of years, if it still should be available on the european market with Euro5+.
I love the design of this bike. If i had the money i would have definitely bought it. Please don't change the design and please continue its production
I made a test ride of the SV650 and I must say that the engine is simply amazing! It is a big same that Suzuki still does not change this awfull, cheap, thin, seat with no handls that you can not carry a passenger . (it is awfull for the rider too).
Because then you have a new one, and the original purchase price is low enough that it’s worth the stretch. Buying more expensive bikes used nets you a bigger discount…
A new SV1050 or SV1100 with gsx8r or gsx1000gx design language? I mean you already got the frame and the engine, just need to make some changes to the engine valves and timing (maybe incorporate the VVT from the last generation of GSXR which now is discontinued in Europe), do the same magic back 20 years ago with the original Dl1000 and SV1000 on the frame. And please for the love of God, fix the V-Stroms 10xx XT/DE clutch chudder problem documented for about 15 years. Not many options if you want a sportier V twin nowdays, the SV650 and GSX8S for 1.85 m & and 90+ kg riders, i think it a bit wimpy and there is no more GSXR1000. I think there is a gap in the market with some opportunities....
Suzuki we need a comfort seat for sv650, this model has had the same outrageously uncomfortable seat since 2016, and you charge customers £230 for a fancy pants tuck n roll seat only to not increase comfort ludicrous please develop a comfort seat to satisfy owner, I love my sv650 but the seat is pressuring me to sell my 2022 model as it’s unbearable for more than 30 mins
If that’s all it takes for you to get rid of a bike, then go for it. Definitely don’t look into aftermarket options, and never ask around for a local expert that can put gel or foam inserts into the stock seat and recover it for you…
I was hoping they update at least the lights and the instrument panel, Suzuki's getting left behind by other companies , aside from a couple of bikes. Their designs are awful.
I mean a TST dash would be nice but it's not worth extra money to have a screen that looks like a cell phone. Bikes and cars are only getting more expensive because of technology most people don't need. Keep this bike basic and simple and upgrade the GSXS line of bikes. If I ever bought another sportbike it would be a GSXR750 because unlike other companies they haven't changed much on them in years.
@@danielm6507 It has it's pros and cons. Much easier and cheaper to produce and service an inline twin, and get the sound you want with the 270deg crank.
@@danielm6507 But also needs to stay at the same price point. The parallel twin sounds similar, with the 270 deg crank, and is much cheaper to produce and service, with similar performance.
@@troyjollimore4100 people will pay a bit more for good features. This is a fact. Also, there's die hard V twin lovers who aren't satisfied with a parallel twin. Also, manufacturing a 20 year old engine is different than a state of the art v twin. If they want to milk the platform, at least give people a reason to buy the new model and not go used.
Unless they manufacture their big bikes and engines here, it doesn't make fiscal sense. The high import duties would bring them closer to more powerful motorcycles.
@@the_winged_helm It doesn’t make sense to leave out the largest two wheeler maket in the dust. If Aprillia can do it, there is no reason why Suzuki cannot do it.
Please change your name to Suzuki Motorcycles. Dump the word “global” as it now has criminal conspiracy undertones. SV650’s are a great bike for new and old riders!
What you need to know before buying this motorcycle: 1* 4 out of every 10 SV650s produced since 2016 have crooked tails. Not only SV650s, but also V-Strom 650s have the same problem. cause welding error. Take a look behind the SV 650s you see on the road and see the truth, the problem is not the fault of the plastic fender, the problem is the welding fault on the chassis. likewise the gas tank does not fit properly, one side is always floating, please check and see for yourself. 2* The seat of the SV650 is uncomfortable for both passengers, the distance that can be traveled without stopping with that seat is only 50 kilometers. 3* There is no LED bulb. This seems like a small problem, but it is actually a big problem + shame.
