Valentina does a great job of course, but her husband does such a great job of complimenting her. It is amazing. He does such a great job of letting her lead with the decorating and complimenting her every movement, comment, and idea. I want to give him some credit.
I had already put Urbane bronze as a co-Sherman Williams 2021 color of the year on my entry wall. And the second I saw Evergreen fog a few weeks ago, I knew I was doomed because that is the color that I wanted. And then a friend of mine did her kitchen in it. And I am doing some walls and stuff in EFog, as I call it. . We are so trendy and cute just like you. Ha ha. But just love the darn coldr
I love green also and I know what you were saying. It just happened that this particular color is a really nice beautiful subtle color and that it makes you happy. I don't do anything because it's trendy. I do it because I love it first. Once in a while I strike something to other people like also pray but I so understand what you mean... but sometimes you have to listen to some of the designers when they tell you what colors not to use. Because generally they are pretty close to on the mark when it comes to super tacky. So you can listen doesn't mean you have to condemn or nothing. Just don't use it.
I’ve said it before - he just loves you! The look in his face and his starry eyes when he looks at you is so wonderful!! I think I watch just to see how he is going to adore you today!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I'm guessing the Benjamin Moore will be in the yellow family. Everybody's doing pastels for 'calm' during these times, but I think we need something more energizing yet earthy like their Golden Light or from the reds like Savannah Clay. If they follow with the green though, I'd like something w/ more energy to it like Marine Aqua or Sea of Green. Let's liven things up from the coma we've all been in for 2 years. And if we have to still stare at our own walls all day, make them invigorating! No more white, grey or beige. We're so calm we're comatose at this point. We need color. Lots of color. Greek Isles colors! Morocco or Tuscany!
Agree,! already did my walls in sunrise soft gold yellow with darker gold and peach wash old European walls style; Like sunrise or sunset clouds and colors change during the day. Painted kitchen cabinets and wall behind stove soft teal blue. Love love color changes.
Valentina, you're so amazing! I see your passion in the way that you speak and your facial expressions and how you 'geek out' while expressing your passion. Wow! Not everyone gets to live their passion. You're blessed, dear Valentina. God bless you and Jack!
Hello Valentina and Jack! I'm a Mid-century lady who loves all those beautiful bold colors. I've learned to use them in artwork and accessories by painting my walls with neutral colors that have grey undertones My pick for the color scheme would be tones of Blue from the elusive paint company. I think they were waiting to see what the rest were doing and had two options...they pick the opposite of green.
Your color palette is gorgeous! I am updating the interior of my home. I started watching your videos and became a subscriber about 2 months ago. The color palette tip is something that has been a life saver for me. It helps me to stay centered when shopping for things for my new look. I can't afford to change a lot of things like I would love to do. Knowing my colors helps me to make the most impact with what changes I can make. Painting the bedroom and adjacent sitting room is one of the things I plan to do. I've been looking for a muted green. I think Evergreen Fog would be perfect! It's not overly saturated and in my opinion it has a classy look. My home has no character in it's architecture so I am trying to step it up in other areas such as paint. I will get some to test on the walls in each room. I am so excited to have seen this video today! Love you guys!
Your house is so beautifully decorated...I personally like the dark colors on the walls because when you hang any art work or decorative pieces; they just pop and look very elegant and classy!
My entire home interior has been this Sherwin Williams green color since I moved in 2013. I loved it then and I still love it. This color is so soothing and is a neutral like gray. We are ready to bring the forest and earth greens into our homes as an indoor escape.
I loved this episode I’m also feeling out on color!! As a Feng Shui expert, green is such a fascinating color because a vibrant green will bring in the energy of vibrancy and call in money, some muted green tones are great for relaxation but if you go into more of the moss areas-they can call in too much of certain energies that we don’t necessarily want so I’d keep muted greens out of the bedrooms for sure-grey greens are great just not the third green in your video, not a healthy green so I’d say to use sparingly and with love. No color is bad, and all color can amplify energy so using sparingly is key. I love the rooms you showed all looked gorgeous!!💜💜🙏🏻💜💜
super thanks House of V for what color is in store for 2022...an array of veige caramel foggish green yes greenish tone is my fave even in younger years...it never fades from me.💚
Greens are good for calming down and bringing the outdoors in (after being mostly stuck at home a year). Depression is skyrocketing, so a light yellow or light blue is uplifting, like a beautiful sunny day. I think maybe a yellow tint.
YES! Early last year I had painted the interior of this old place with so many beautiful wood tones a pale green, a soft blue, a warm, light butter yellow, and a brightened, sagey green which I mixed myself and apparently I was ahead of my time :)
Oh my goodness, LOVE the House of Valentina's color palette. So gorgeous!! We bought a new house in Feb of 2020 and the previous owners aesthetic was farmhouse. All the rooms in the house are various shades of gray except one. I haven't been able to make up my mind about a color palette yet untill now. Thank you so much!
I think it’s the lockdown. People miss traveling, being out in the world. So of course they choose green. An earthy tone that’s comforting and happy in a season of gloom and isolation indoors. So beautiful. I’m definitely here for the earthy tones.
I think your colors is like a walk in nature. Nature is proven to help people calming and comforting. Love it💕I love a little rust color too. Blessings
The grey/green fog color is a bit lighter than the siding on my house. We love it and it looks great in the landscape. We mix it with charcoal grey, black, white and a dusty brick red for roof, front door, trim and foundation.
Your dynamic is so amazing. You make each video so fun and interesting. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and helping us all create a beautiful home that shows our personality!
Green has always been a colour love so it’s wonderful to see it in trend. I’ve always loved its calming and grounding effect...a bit like bringing the outdoors inside. I’m voting green all the way 💚
These trends make so much sense to me. I have a wall in my townhouse that goes from the living room into dining area and it was such a tricky wall. I finally, after a year, found a color I fell in love with back in August! Sawgrass by Behr is the color I chose and it's beautiful. A light muted grey green that flows with both of my rooms. I believe green will be the color choice this year for everyone. We've spent so much time inside the last 2 years that I believe people will want to bring the outdoors in more than ever. Thank you for all of your videos I just adore you both!
I absolutely love yellow! It's cheerful, sunny, and very warm to me. Since I live alone, I enjoy waking up to an inviting, sunny room. It matches my personality well.
Green: It’s where we have spent most of our time over the last year plus. We’ve spent more time outside more than ever. We’ve fallen in love with out of doors!
Love your colour palette-all the colours are beautiful and compliment each other well..I love neutrals but also greens/blues. They are colours of beautiful mother earth...
I think the color will be green, as it is calming and there is so much anxiety nowadays. Pantone did a blue last year. I WISH they would choose a soft yellow, which feels so warm and bright.
I think Benjamin Moore will choose a pale yellow because we are coming out of the dark into the light! I think we need bright and cheery color after such a dark and depressing time. I also want to say that I love you both. I think you compliment each other perfectly!! It is so refreshing to watch you!! Thank you!!
Hope Ben Moore colour is stone blue. I love blue at the moment. Blue was my colours for my wedding last year!! But I'm also loving burnt orange/red maybe because of all the Fall videos I've watched lately.
The HOV colours are always more interesting to me! This is from a girl who loves colour and pattern but V has made me see the beauty in neutrals, contrast and plain fabrics and I’m loving changing up my colour scheme.
Your color palette is perfection! They are the exact colors I am starting to use. As someone that usually only likes white walls, we recently painted our walls Nebulous. It was supposed to be a very pale gray (like a cloudy sky), but it came out with strong green undertones. It is actually very pretty, and we are going to add the colors of your palette, and live with it.
Love the House of Valentina color palette. The colors invoke soothing, classiness. I believe Benjamin Moore will go with a color within the green family as well.
This is very elegant and calming colours, sea salt and evergreen. ☺️ However, they seem cold and a bit depressing… anyone here feeling the same, or is it just me? 🤔 thanks for this video, Valentina - you look gorgeous in this blouse 😍
I personally like a muted blue, almost like the blueish grey with variations. I live on the west coast. I love to mix vibrant blues with a punch of red and orange ,with classic blue and white china. I enjoy warming it up with touches of gold warm and cold yeah black is great as well. I love true green plants.
I get the excitement, hence I’m one of the first commenters and I clicked on it as soon as I got the notification! Eeeeee colour of the year!!!! And house of Valentina colour palette of the year!!! Yep, I spell colour with a “u” cause I’m Canadian 🇨🇦🍁
I think Purple will be one of the colors that deserves a little boost! I think people are afraid to use this color, but done right, it can be just a lovely room! However, I have always gravitated towards Green and Blue!
I painted my kitchen a color similar to Mountain moss. I use lots of greens with yellow cream colors. It’s very soothing and as a pastor I need that when I come home! Luv his video. Thanks.
Absolutely looooove your colour palette!! I'm actually leaning towards something very similar. I just love the combo of contrast and drama of black and white paired with warm and inviting colours such as golden browns, muted greens and rust!!
Love. Love. The color palette that chose for your home. As for the paint companies I love the Norway color palette. They're just cozy. We NEED cozy these days.
For the color of the year I’m guessing golden retriever. Something warm and happy. Love your palette, my living space walls are pretty close to Northern Cliffs and it’s super soothing.
Interesting! Just when we were attempting to make our homes look less 90s! Almost makes me think that the plan is to make us have to repaint with a more timeless color, well before repainting is due. I love the House Of Valentina colors though. 🙌🏻
I like green because it represents healing & natural abundance (heart chakra). My colors right now are all SW colors from Blonde in living room, oyster bay in kitchen & seasalt in bathroom downstairs. I need to repaint my dining room a color that flows with blonde & oyster bay, so it’s nice to see what the new colors are for 2022. Thanks y’all.
Will you continue the “Scandi-lux” design style with your new palette? I believe the natural and earthy tones can be Scandi, just as much as black/white if used skillfully. Looking forward to the end result
I have always loved muted shade's of greens. Showing my age but back in 70s I had green kitchen, in bedroom and bathroom! Same as today! Beautiful. I've noticed more greens in decorating too. Enjoying the show!
Interesting - as an 80- yr old I know college dorms, psych wards, hospital walls, have been painted shades of soft & muted greens - our world is in such social mayhem now - yes the world is in need of calming & soothing colored walls!
Why is there never a purple? I personally love your palette Valentina and will likely borrow some of those colors and try to find a good purple. I don't know why but I want a dark purple for my bedroom, such as Expressive plum from Sherwin Williams. I think most of the colors you provided would go with it. Thank you for the inspiration.
Love your banter and your relationship is so pure and sweet .., the colors are very outside and muted.. after the pandemic many people need peace and quiet and have rediscovered the outdoors and I think it shows in the palettes that are picked .. I actually like this one called angel dusk … just painted the spare room .. more of a grey silvery with a blue purple tinge shows different in the sunlight .. much lighter
I love your channel, Valentina!! So glad I just found you on RU-vid. You’re a designer who uses all the same neutral colors I love!! So elegant looking! Wish you could come to my newly purchased home in FL. I’d give you the reigns on decorating the whole house. I’ve knocked down walls, dropped a massive fireplace which blocked the river and pool views from the kitchen, stripped all the flooring throughout the house, gutted the kitchen and bathrooms and is undergoing a total rehab of 5800 sq ft living space. Thanks for your informative and interesting videos, they’re very helpful!
We’re coming out of repeating the 80’s and now it seems this palette is the 70’s green/gold with a 90’s twist! We grew up in a beautiful ranch home (70’s) that was decked out in carpet, wall color, drapes, and metal kitchen cabinets all in this green fog color! It truly is a soothing color! A nice neutral replacement to gray! I love your green moss! Gorgeous!
We are moving back to the states next month and I was creating a pallet for our new house.. Green and leather are on my list! Evergreen fog is totally going into our new house, I’m in love!
I can’t get enough of the House of V color palette!!! Ugh, it’s stunning! I’m expecting Moore’s color to be green, but a darker muted version to mix things up. I want it to be a golden yellow or aubergine, though. Loved the video!🥰
It does to me, too...Last year I did a brighter, yellowish medium toned sage. Not too blue, not gray. LOL Its very much like the Farrow and Ball color. And then I accessorized with gray and the warm toned wood. I get many compliments!
Green is my all time favorite color! They all are wonderful. My husband was a professional painter for 30 years and prefers Sherwin Williams brand but every green you showed is really delightful. I'm new to your channel and I love your sense of humor! Your sense of style really hits my hot button!
Yes!!! I love your color green so much more than the others. I'm here for the more earthy green tones rather than more Seafoam. I also love the Natural linen northern cliffs! I love the Growns!
Green clothing is definitely the clothing color of the year..thought it would be white it was and is still POPULAR...but it fizzled fast because it became omnipresent!
