Colorado 14er Crestone Peak - South Face Route 

We started this adventure at the South Colony Lakes 4WD trailhead. Two hours and 4 miles later we were setting up camp at 11,635 ft. The next day we summited Crestone Peak via Broken Hand Pass and the standard Class 3 South Face route. The roundtrip distance was just under 13 miles with an elevation gain of roughly 5,600 ft.
