I have a majority of these jerseys with various players on each. Most of their jerseys are amazing. Great branding. Reverse retros knocked it out of the park. I love your #1 pick as well, just wish it was balanced shoulders (two patches)
And I'm still here waiting for a jersey with the foot logo on the front. Is it good idea? Probably not 😂, but I'd love it, wished for a design like that ever since they moved.
If I'm not mistaken there was at one point a very subtle colour change done to the jerseys between the point of their inaugural season in Denver and another point during their original design era
Have the Starter away that my wife got me, the next year she had Ray Bourque's name and number put on, picked up the 1st alt. Jersey over 20 years ago and had Patrick Roy's name and number put on it. And lastly the CCM home white with Joe Sakic's name and number put on it. The next one I would like to get would be the current alt jersey probably with MacKinnon's name and number.
Just an FYI Starter made the Avs' jerseys, even game worn ones, in their first year or so before switching to (I believe) CCM with the rest of the league. Starter also made an awesome "fashion" series of jerseys, the Avs one was black with red sleeves and it's amazing. And I'll always have a soft spot for the Blueberry jerseys.
My allegiances moved with the team from Quebec to Colorado . Therefore I favour the Nordiques jerseys first . But the stadium series jerseys are A-trocious ! Personally , I have 4 Nordiques and 3 Avalanche jerseys . My fave being my over 40 yr old 'worn' home white Nordiques one . Old dog / new tricks ...
I'm in the same boat, I grew up cheering for the Nordiques a d followed them to Colorado. Love that reverse-retro so much, but I will agree with Neal here, that Third Jersey is so freakishly comfortable to wear and I just cannot figure out why, but I love it as well.
That isn’t a starter vs adidas thing. The avalanche originally had a more brighter red and blue when they first moved to Colorado but toned it to burgundy and blue like a year or two later.
@cale373 It doesn't matter to me how the colors originated. The brighter colors just look better regardless of who made it. I wish they would go back to the more vibrant colors. It was a mistake to switch to the darker colors. The foot logo was a nice touch too.
Way to much blue in the uniforms nowadays. Looks horrible with the blue helmets. It was once a good looking team. So many teams ruined their uniforms nowadays.
