@@vazq_Fernanda I have friendship bracelets and others lol - I didn’t show you my jewelry either…. But you found *lovely* colors! Doesn’t seem to be trendy atm but I love me super saturated color 👍👍👍
@@vazq_Fernanda Ah I see - I’m so sick of millennial pink lol - I don’t know about what’s on the runway at all, I just pass by the big box stores and nothing looks interesting 🤷♀️. I plan to get my color consult done soon, now that things are defrosting 😄!
Oh. My. GOSH! You really did it! I'm so excited!!! 😄I'm definitely going to have to rewatch this a few times because I was too excited that you did my idea to focus, LOL! Finally I have a capsule template to use as a guide for the rainbow wardrobe of my dreams. 🌈I haven't tried monochromatic looks before, but I'm interested in trying them out. I can't wait to start shopping my closet and building my own version of this capsule!!! Thank you so much for this, and for the love and care you show your community. Some people might have judged this type of style, but I feel very welcome here. 🌞
This makes me very happy. The only thing I don't like is the shoe styles are the same style "elevation" or would be worn for the same type of events/activities. Also they both have a block heel of the same height. I think you really need a casual shoe here like a white or fun colored sneaker or at least a flat. For myself, I love color and would have put in a colored pair of jeans also to help make some casual options.
It’s so lovely to see a completely colourful capsule! I think I would probably only wear two main colours in an outfit. I like the way you choose completely different styles of tops and bottoms. I buy the same shapes over and over in different colours, and it makes for a boring wardrobe.
Fun! When I was growing up in the 70’s I used to have yellow bell bottoms and a celery green sweater. This is so reminiscent of that. 😍 Love, love, love 💗 that color lipstick on you!
Yay! I'm planning to buy light spring colored clothing going forward. 💐 I don't know how I ended up with so much black and dark colored clothing. I finally realize it's ok not to have any black in my wardrobe. 🌺 Heidi
Yes I love this. I’m so tired of watching content creators make haul videos with 99.9% neutrals with a tiny pinch of color🙄. I’m so using your tips, however I will have some spring appropriate neutrals in my capsule 😊 (I think i’m a spring).
Great job, and I love Buttercup (talk about a neutral “wardrobe” ~ 😉). Although I am not into as colorful a capsule as you showed, I have totally moved past black and beige (I don’t even have any black accessories anymore). Instead, I have substituted chocolate and navy for my base pieces and ivory/cream/linen as my “beige” counterpart. To that I add more color: Lots of burgundy, olive, pinks, blues, rust, and, of course, denim. It took me awhile to transition (surprisingly, chocolate AND navy can be scarce as alternatives to black), but the result has been worth it! It’s not as predictable as a black-based wardrobe but just as pulled together. Thanks for all you do, Fernanda! I love your channel, your expertise, and your well-conceived videos.
I love chocolate coloured clothing, as you said hard to come by at times. I have a seude moto jacket, a sleeveless silk top and recently bought a pair of deep chocolate brown cigarette pants. So only the trio. As a petite the pants hit on my ankle perfectly for me. Can't wait to style them for winter 😍 It has been record breaking summer heat here in Western Australia and I'm over it! 😊
😍🌈 love this! I use the color skirt styling trick often, pulling colored tops from the color palette of the skirt also helps create a cohesive color palette
Absolutely gorgeous!! Stunning colour palette and sooo refreshing to see so much colour after all the boring 'ndurs, blush, beige and white' capsule wardrobes we see all over the internet! Thank you. I just love this. So inspired!
I have a small wardrobe that is full of color! I always love to see inspiration like this because so many creators focus on neutrals and neutrals are honestly like statement pieces in my wardrobe, they stand out against all the colors haha.
As a Spring and a person who is trying to dress more colorfully, this was great! I recently concluded I much prefer wearing color with color rather than color with neutral (especially black!). I do actually like combining bright even neon colors with neutrals or more muted versions of colors. Rather than bright with bright! Anyway, would love to see more of these colorful capsules! Grungy olives and rusts combined with brights or pastels!? Yes please!
Totally! You cold also contrast in value (as opposed to chroma) for example - light pastel pink with a darker coral or red, etc. I love these kinds of looks!
First the video of only dresses and now one with lots of colour and patterns! You're spoiling us, Fernanda! 😍 I've been working with a colourful (but still with some neutrals thrown in) capsule for the first two months of the year and it's been great!
I wear color everyday. A day spent in neutrals for me really brings my mood down. I'm fine wearing a patterned top with many different colors and it makes it easy to wear with many bottoms in my closet just as the skirt does in this capsule.
I will wear a colorful print item and pull two of the colors found in it to wear as "solids". I'd say 3 is probably the "sweet" zone for me. More than that and I start feeling as if I should substract something. By the way, the green pieces with the electric blue shoes...it hurts my eyes, but I can't stop looking, and that's a positive thing in my book. I felt the same watching Marvelous Mrs. Maisel the other day. Her mother was wearing an outfit with chartreuse green and accessories in teal and I had to freeze the scene to look at the details. Another outfit was Kelly green and royal blue, so you're onto something equally memorable and magical here, Fernanda! Well done!
I love this. I like neutrals shoes and some neutral basics and then I love color as well, particularly in my tops and accessories! This is really lovely.
i love wearing colour but often fall into the habit of wearing colourful bottom wit a black crop top. tis is definitely inspiring me to wear more head to toe colour 😊
I love this, so nice and colourful! I really like to wear a lot of colour - for example, I have actual rainbow pants, a skirt (with glitter as well haha) and a sweater. However, I always wear my colourful items with black, so a black top with super happy/colourful bottoms, or the other way around. It always makes me really happy :)
I do appreciate this video. I enjoy color too in my wardrobe - particularly jewel tones. For color I mostly enjoy blue of any shade and a wine or burgundy leaning red. I also enjoy green but it is harder to find to some reason. I'm finding I am particular about purples though. Anyway, I'm working on losing weight and when the time comes to replace my wardrobe this will be very helpful.
I agree. Purples, especially periwinkle, are trending, but I always found them very difficult to style, even though they are “good for my coloring”. I have stopped buying them for this reason, and also I feel they can make me look a bit drab.🙂
@@kimberlyperrotis8962 For me it's a brighter purple that doesn't look great on me, but I find that more neutral lilac tones I tend to pass over time and time again even though I think they're beautiful and actually suited to my skin tone.
I’m looking forward to you spring capsule wardrobe and I’m very curious how your going to wear “spring colors” despite having a seasonal winter skin tone love that your showing more examples like in this video
This capsule is not for her, it’s put together, using images only, to meet a viewer’s specific request. She won’t be actually adding these items to her wardrobe.
Im so delighted to have found this video! I’m so tired of seeing the same beige outfits in capsule wardrobe videos, especially because I am a spring color season. This gave me so many ideas. Thank you!
What a great capsule! I love the skirt. I have a few brightly coloured, patterned tops for summer, but I wear them with neutrals. Time for a rethink. Thanks for some great ideas.
I love your capsule wardrobe videos! How about a capsule wardrobe for active wear? Something versatile that would work for the gym, yoga and outdoor walks with the dog? I’ve been trying to put something together but could use your help. 😃❤️
OH. MY. GOSH. As a recently typed Spring, I was worried how to create a wardrobe without looking "country or beachy granny", and how to mix the neutrals with the color which seemed... eh. But THIS is a CHOICE and it's a bit edgy and funky and fashionable and THANK YOU for solving my problem.
I gravitate to wearing only two colours at once. But the colour can be light medium or dark to suit my Value Contrast of 4. For example light blue with light to medium denimn and white. Navy with indigo denimn jacket, white shirt and medium blue scarf. Etc.. Yes a colour and style analysis is a game changer. My Season is Cool Winter. My Dominant Tone is Blue. My Value Contrast is 4. My Style Type is Classic Natural. My Scale (for accessories and patterns etc.) is Medium. My Shape is Triangle with Long Body / Short Legs. Life is much easier now I have this sorted...well...sort of.
Love this! I wear bright colours all the time and really appreciate the outfit inspiration. I usually only wear two colours and keep the accessories neutral but I am inspired to try more! Thanks for what you do 💚💚💚
I love colors, and I would get bored if I tried to wear all neutrals. I live in Africa, so I'm sure that has influenced my love of colors. I will wear a piece (usually a skirt) with lots of colors, and then pull other things from that color. I'm more limited by the number of items I have space to keep or carry than by what I would wear. (Also too hot for layers.)
thank you for this. I am a spring and the only capsules I can make are colourful like this. i have one for this spring which is bright blue, yellow and teal now i have to think how I can bring a pop of pink.
Fab video. I’m a spring and have taken 50 years to really start to understand colour. Love the content but background MUSIC is REALLY distracting. Thanks for this.
I used to have teal colored hair at my most formative years so i learned to not overcrowd my outfits with colors that could distract from it because it would look to crowded and i wiuld later one change my hair color more and more often so understated pieces worked great at that point. Now i have my natural hair color so i like to play with spefic hues (i'm non binary so colors that don't suit me tend to make me look older and more masculine than i want to) i seem to fall into the trap of monochromatic basic colors because i gravitate towards mainly towads more somber deep moody hues and i go either black or brown instinctively for some reason. I have a fringed heavily colored (mainly brown and orange) russian shawl i wear everyday and i just bought a green suit for my brother's wedding so i'll use those two pieces/sets to build a color palette from and i'll start sewing , thrifting, and knitting my own wardrobe (i plan on knitting a lopapeysa/Icelandic sweater because i love knitting colorwork and the feel of lopi/Icelandic yarn in winter is amazing
I like wearing color triads(my favorite is blue, yellow, and pink), but would not be resistant to moving into more on the color wheel. I actually fight monochromatic looks, and refused to wear black on black. IDK Why.
You did a good job fulfilling this request, but such a wardrobe wouldn’t suit many women; I don’t know anyone who wants to look like a rainbow. I love color, too, but I limit the colors I buy. Yes, following one’s own personal coloring and wardrobe palette is essential, I think. If I fall in love with something in an unusual color, I often buy the matching or coordinating piece to make sure I can make an outfit with it. I don’t think “black goes with everything” like some do, black just kills colors flat, white or cream (depending on one’s coloring) usually works better.
I saw this video as moving as far as possible on the color spectrum. I love love love color, and this helped me think creatively in a way that neutral capsules just don't. I have a lot of blues, green, teal, navy, pinks and corals and purples. A little white, brown, and a spot of black in my waredrobe. I count blue as my main neutral.
@@vazq_Fernanda I need to get better about working in colors, to be honest! I have been on the black & white pattern-on-pattern train for a while. I appreciate your content and learning from you!
I love your method…..and in theory this capsule works for purpose …….. but god noooooooo….. anyone who would wear this much color …..nooooo….just noooo
LOL. What you said definitely resonates for me. 🦚God bless the peacocks who can strut about in exquisite color. Feel more comfortable in a bit of "cultural 🪖 camuflauge." Luckily for me that involves a lot of black🖤. Blending in my environment to avoid attracting unwanted 👁️👁️attention or predators🐺 my direction. 😉Love color in theory, but know I don't possess the swag to pull it all off successfully in reality. 💚 Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
Finally a colorful capsule wardrobe that actually includes a lot of bold color! So many of the videos that promise colorful capsule wardrobes include blue jeans or one burgundy top as the colorful part of the wardrobe. While I personally don’t want to wear a rainbow wardrobe, I do want to watch videos about rainbow wardrobes. :-)
I LOVE color! You should do a capsule that includes 3-4 different style aesthetics in just one capsule. Capsules IMHO often limit styling options so much, but you're creative enough I feel like you'd come up with great loopholes!
I just discovered modules recently, and it’s opened up a lot. This channel has one video about modules, but @EmilyWheatley does a lot of them. Also, Jasmine Ty. It’s also called a mini capsule.
Omg, I could not press the play button fast enough and then froze in anticipation of the season you will choose. Hallelujah!!!!!!! It's Spring. That's me. In all seriousness, as a spring person who likes color there is just not enough inspirations and guidance. So I stumble and try and try. Thank you so much. You made my day!!! And what a delightful suprise it was while I am watching in horror for the 8th day what is happening to my friends and relatives in Ukraine. Thank you!!!! 💙💛❤ Now that I think about it I might wear blue and yellow today and send some strength vibes to Ukraine.
Oh friend, I know... I was noticing the other day that I just feel "sad" and I couldn't figure out why, and then I realize that it's from watching the news, and it just lingers... it's so heart breaking. I am so glad that this gave you a little joy boost, because we all need it. What an honor to be able to do that for someone! 🥰
My Canadian heart felt a wave of respite when I read your idea of wearing blue & yellow. I wear mostly black but am now determined to show support with wearing at least all accessories in 💙&💛
As a colour lover this is the video I’ve been looking for, finally a capsule that’s actually full of bright colours. Usually when someone says a colourful capsule I leave disappointed because it’s all muted colours and neutrals. You’ve made my day, thank you 🤩
I think 3 colors is my sweet spot Using pattered tops is a go to for me - pull one color for a solid bottom and pull a different color for shoes I like the capsule in theory but think a mini module added of a neutral and/or metallic would greatly round it out. Perhaps a nude/bone/bronze shoe and a similar top and bottom would play well with all the pieces
I love colour! And I have plenty in my wardrobe, even though it's of a smaller size in general. I wouldn't wear any more than two bright colours (denim doesn't count, neutrals don't count) at once for a casual outfit and one for a professional outfit, but I have almost all the rainbow in my wardobe:) Almost all, because I hate orange. Both on myself, and as a colour in general.
This is absolutely amazing Fernanda 👏 😍 I wear pops of colour all year round. I love to wear a bright colour under a black jacket or cardigan. When mixing colours I usually only go for 3. But I do have some tops with 4 or even 5 mixtures of colours in them. I'm a winter colour palette, so love the jewel tones. So good to see a capsule that isn't just boring neutrals. Thank you as always, you're a mine of information and always inspire me 😊💗💚💙💜💛
great to see a different perpective! That green jacket is a delight! I'd say I'm somewhere in between; I love colour, although I usually pick slightly deeper tones(dark greens, teals, ruby) and mix them with cognac and cream-whites, or wear them ton-sur-ton. Im always surprised how much colour you can wear without people seeing you as extremely colourful or unprofessional, and styled well hem can easily function as a neutral. love to see a vid on that by the way! what I really have appreciated since your colour-analysis series is that the focus of colour has shifted so much more towards undertone than overtone. Because no, having a warm undertone doesn't mean you look great in all colours on the left of the colour wheel and vice versa. There are yellows, reds and heck, even oranges that look terrible on me(deep spring), because they have a very distinct cool undertone, but that can look great on a winter type. And reversed, there are blues, purples and greens that look much better on a warm skin-type because of their warm undertones.
I really love this! As someone who grew up in India, I enjoy wearing color and could not imagine having a neutrals only wardrobe. You make excellent original content, keep it up!
I loved this capsule! I'm a winter and having colours that harmonise brings me so much joy. Although I suit grey and black they just bring my mood down instantly. Thank you for the inspiration!
I dress in black only, but this was such a great video!! my sister loves color, so I'm sure she'll love this video as well. it's great to follow your train of thought behind creating a capsule ❤️❤️ I'd love to see an all back version 🥰
I own 2 hot pink dresses & one yellow I picked up last year. This has inspired me to try something green this year, btw I love green on you😍 I'm tan w/grey hair, which shade would you recommend me? Thanks❣
For me bright colors always felt like an attention getter so I wasn't so inclined to participate in a brightly colored outfit. Instead I would feel more comfortable in a accent of color in a shoe or handbag!!! I think coming
Great work Fernanda. Love colour especially since transitioning to silver hair. Am comfortable wearing 3 different colours. I rarely wear prints as they don't suit me though I would be happy with a printed skirt as it is far from my face!
Thanks for the super cute and inspired video. I like the idea of the capsule wardrobe, but get bored with all the neutrals. I would wear 2-3 bright colors at the same time.
I usually wear no more than three colors together. I do like classic patterns, but I prefer the smaller-scale ones with limited colors, often one color plus white. I especially love blue and white prints, especially for spring! So fresh, like a windy March sky, clear blue with puffy white clouds.
Love love love this video!!! Even though I love color I tend to wear neutrals on the bottom because I am hippie!! I also try to keep to the rule of 3. I got that from u. I have been looking at the outfits pink jackets and pink pants. I’m alittle timid to add a suit like that to my wardrobe but I’m thinking about it. Thank u for your videos they always brighten my day!❤️
