Hi Mark, yes, that is exactly why you need to drag it from the exact spot as for beginners especially it will help them to know not only which colours to use but exactly where to use them. It is not a method I use myself but figured it was a good way to help those that cannot see the colours initially. Thank you for the positive feedback, appreciated :)

There are indeed Amy but I do not really recommend those. I've seen too many people use them, get confused and not really developing their own skills of looking to find the colours themselves. This is designed to simply help people to pull the colours out. Next I will show how to then colour match to your pencils. That way the viewer is learning to do it for themselves. Hopefully it helps

It is Microsoft Paint. It comes installed on most pcs as part of the Microsoft package. But, any similar programme with a colour picking tool will work too

You would repeat the process and pick out the colours from a different picture

I did this in Paint 3D. If I had said I had done it all in Paint then that would have been misleading. I'm glad it worked for you in Paint also. Thank you for feeling the need to make me feel like not bothering again 😣

@@AnimalArtbyLAW I am so sorry you feel that way - when I tried it in Paint 3d I did not get anywhere and I was completely frustrated and wanted to give up - then I thought why not try it in Paint - which worked - I would have been grateful if you had replied to my first post instead of being insulted by my second post which I thought would actually be helpful to others as someone else liked my first post which led me to believe they were having trouble as well.

@@robin.rudolph.fineart I am sorry, I have only just seen your first post by scrolling back up for it. I try to answer everyone but when I am on my phone sometimes I miss a notification. Thank you for letting me know that it also works in Paint for you, that is great to know. I do not even use this tool but thought it would be something that would help people so I went out of my way to find a programme to create it in, make the video & the template & offer it as a free resource. To say my title is a misnomer was an insult yes as all I try to do is help & I would never attempt to mislead anyone. If I had said I had created it just using Paint when clearly I used Paint 3D that would have been a wrong description. I tried to create the most simple of videos to explain something so yes, I did feel insulted. I am exhausted at the moment and not able to keep up with every comment or question, sorry.

@@AnimalArtbyLAW tried again in Paint 3d and I can do it but there is no toolbar as you have at the top of the screen and no icon 3d Paint as one is already in 3d so a step is missed out. It would be helpful to know what version of Paint 3D you are using
