Colt Combat Unit (CCU) / Colt Rail Gun / Springfield TRP 1911 soft comparison 

I respect the fact that you're wiling to talk about your abilities with the guns regardless of price. A lot of people get ego tied up into what they've spent on any particular firearm and have a hard time separating said ego from actual performance. I carry a Wilson almost daily and I'm most accurate with it, however when people ask me what they should look at in terms of purchase, the TRP is always at the top of my list. I think if I bought one in my younger days over a Kimber as my first 1911, I may have never ventured away from Springfield at all. I'm glad to see so many people actually appreciating just how good these pistols are.

They're all outstanding, and my favorite is the TRP full rail. If an Abrams decided to be a 1911, it'd be the TRP full rail.

I finally found a colt combat unit after 2 years of searching, i wanted the government model without the rail for carry, finally got one on gunbroker took it to the range and put 528 rounds 66 mags through it without fail, mine doesnt rattle like my other colts, i wanted it because its an all stainless steel gun with the matte black dlc coating on top, the perfect combination to prevent corrosion and looks more traditional and better than other manufacturers that do something similar, i love mine so far and will not part ways with it ever. It was my grail gun for so long. But i get why you want to part ways with it and keep the others, im looking forward to those videos of the 2011s when you get them.

I had to sell all of firearms before to buy a house the only thing I did is get a CZ Shadow 2 and then I modified to my taste . At the end the one you shot the more accurate and with confidence always win for me . I had high end guns and they malfunction a lot

Thanks for a great video. If you’re a shooter rather than a collector/speculator, and I understand your point. The 1911 is an excellent, but old design that requires hand fitting for reliability and accuracy. Even a high end custom 1911 may not have a balance and recoil impulse that works for everyone. I like that your individual performance with the pistol drives your decision to keep or trade it.

I love 1911s, i understand that only 8-10 or 10-12rds is veery limited and such, i understand that wholeheartedly. I am looking for a single stack 1911 thats not over the top but has the look of a traditional 1911 with a railed. Caliber im looking for is 9mm, the 1911 im deciding to go with is the colt CCU cause its basically the M45A1 but in black, then venture out into the higher end ones like nighthawk and get the grp recon do some work on it from them, and get it in a double stack configuration. I just want to know if the route im going for is the right one. I understand steal arms with the platypus but i want start small and fresh with a standsrd railed 1911. Ps i find the full railed 1911s dumb who needs all of that extra attachments for a light which is all you are going to need on a pistol
