@@jameskelly7782 By far, the most common Hollywood stand-in of that era for the 1911 was the Star Model B. They were inexpensive and they were much more easily adapted for blank firing than the 1911. Occasionally back then, one might glimpse a Colt .38 ACP Pocket Hammer but the armorers who supplied these TV shows were unlikely to employ one of those pistols as a 1911 stand-in. I never saw a Radom in any Hollywood-produced TV show, and *certainly* there were no Colt 1907s r even 1905s.. As can be seen with this auction, the 1907 was an exceedingly scarce pistol.
