Nick, I very much appreciate the pan revealing the back side of Fairchild and Ypsilon. Since I first came to RMNP (Y camp) yearly in the 50's-60's I had great curiosity what the north side of especially Fairchild looked like from a distance away and from your perspective atop Comanche after many decades this was satisfied! Thanks for this (and all) vid.

You are welcome! Sad thing is, this entire area has burned in the Cameron Peak fire. I dont know if I will ever be able to get back there again. But glad I did it while I could. Im at least thankful for that.

It’s way out there in true wilderness. Simply epic. Always bringing a smile to my face when I needed it

I hate route finding when there are a jillion social trails meandering through the forest. I am not good at it and have been known to get lost until I can figure out such mazes. Nice video! You're giving me some good ideas for hikes when my wife and I celebrate her retirement with a month-long trip to Colorado year after next.

Thanks! That part just at the beginning of the way up to the summit was like the Nile Delta. Trails everywhere! I bet if i would have stayed on main trail a bit longer there would have been a marker of some sort that cut off. The trail started going downhill though and I didnt want to lose any elevation so I cut off. But this hike was so good. Nothing hard at all. No ledges. No loose scree. No class 3 scrambles. Its just a little long. Next year we are gonna hit it from the other side up the Hourglass Trail.

That was so cool to see all those elk. How amazing to witness that. Thank you for taking me along another great hike.

Im just glad the zoom was working! I really couldnt see them live because they were so far away. But I did enjoy watching them on the screen. :)

@@787joelle My other channel is probably going to get toasted tomorrow. They gotta scrub RU-vid of free speech before the next elections.. and now they have the excuse of "not commercially viable".

The air horn was so sweet! But it broke. I think I over used it.

Nick Sangetta You can get them at a party store for $5 I think. Mine is almost out. Used it on a couple of Coyotes while walking the dog in the last month. They took off.👌💯. Dog wanted to chase them. How long does it take to edit a 15-20 minute video? 🗻👍
@nicksangetta8874
@nicksangetta8874 4 года назад
@@eckhal2 Good to know! 5 bucks aint bad. Id guess I spend at least an hour per minute on my vids if not more. I probably upload each one about 20 times before im happy. I spend 80% of time balancing the audio. I spend petty much every spare minute working on them. I dont watch tv or anything. And just think.. this might be my last day having the channel if youtube determines its not "commercially viable" tomorrow when their news terms and conditions kick in. Hope i didnt just waste 2 years

Nick Sangetta Wow that's more time than I thought. Will stick to digital non-video. Yeah I read up on that you tube change will see how many of my subscribed channels are impacted. Don't worry I am sure another video provider will pick these up.

The images of the elk herd walking are extraordinary, so beautiful ! Great content, and neat editing, Nick. I enjoyed your hiking, the scenery is amazing, and you made the hiking even more enjoyable with your antics :) Yeah, a cougar, a bear charging at you, will run away when you blow that whistle, sure :)

Thanks! Sadly this area got hit by the Cameron Peak fire and the access to it has been closed ever since. I heard the firefighters were using the trail as their fire line to try and keep it from coming south into RMNP. Its sad.. it was really pretty back there.

What an awesome video! I was driving up into Pingree Park today looking at the map and saw Comanche Peak, then I googled it and came across your video. I would love to do this, unfortunately I'm paraplegic so have to watch videos, thanks for sharing this and I have subscribed.

I'd love to hike this one, so beautiful :) and maybe even get lucky and see elk and/or find a mini air horn lol. Sometimes when watching your videos I see a spot I'd love to stand and just admire the view for a little while, and in this video it's @18:37 and @18:40 ... I don't think I could get enough of those views. Thank you again for sharing your hiking adventures!
