The brotha Kane is in this video(Bloke with NZ flag), unfortunately his face no longer needs to be blurred as he was sadly killed on the 20th March, 2023. Speaking with his unit guys at his service, he killed 4 - 6 Russian troops before he fell. He was foundwith his knife in his hand and an empty rifle. Onward brotha!
Hearing the words "sweet as" and "bro" in a kiwi accent, while the video shows the wreckage and war of Donbas, Ukraine really hits home. if it is Kane, I know a hell of alot of NZ is proud of what he did, dying for what he considered right. Really shows the internationality of some of the fighters that even the little islands at the end of the world are represented over there.
One of the soldiers in the video is Kane Te Tai. Sadly KIA about a month ago. He was accompanied home by a Ukrainian comrade and was buried with his people by his people about a week ago. There are videos on you tube of parts of his very moving funeral. He died a hero doing what is right and will be forever remembered by his family and friends and by the entire country, along with our other heroes, on ANZAC day every 25th April. RIP Kane. I'm sorry you have paid the ultimate price for your bravery. Also, for anyone insisting he has an Australian flag on his shoulder, stop the video at 2:58. It is a New Zealand flag - argue all you want about the colour of the stars but there is NO Commonwealth star and that makes it a New Zealand flag. Kane Te Tai is a New Zealand Māori who left from Aotearoa/ New Zealand to fight in Ukraine. The reason there are so many kiwi in here commenting is because we saw him before he left. The reason so many Aussies and kiwi are commenting that IT IS A NEW ZEALAND flag is because we know what our flags look like.
@@ВладГрамыко-и7й There were possibly SOME Nazis in Ukraine just like every other country where there are people stupid enough to believe that their ideology was a good thing but, to say Ukraine had been overtaken by Nazis is just absurd russian propaganda and was used as one of the many excuses russia gave for invading Ukraine. The reason many, many, many Western countries support Ukraine is because Ukraine is a sovereign nation and has been invaded by a neighbouring country with hostile intent. That russia is killing and torturing captured soldiers AND civilians as well as kidnapping Ukranians and taking them to russia are war crimes and just make us more and more determined that russia is in the wrong. The longer this lasts and the more we learn of what Wagner and russians are doing and have done in Ukraine the more help we will give them. Putin cannot win this.

I like how you really include the waiting game to your videos and the fog of war unlike other channels that try to just cut everything to get to the action. After all, that waiting part in this video is most of war and this channel is definitely made to show what it feels like to be a soldier. Great job not cutting it out, it’s interesting to hear the different type of gunshots trying to figure them out and those artillery bombardments in the distance.

We're constantly tickled into righteous tribalism by patriotic slo-mo and soaring scores in movies and tv and we gain nothing from it (other than a passing 'murica boner that might help a politician later on) By showing us unloading to exfil, hurry-up-and-wait to danger-close, you're removing the romance and the "shine" of engagements with what is literally, a mortal enemy. I believe the other soldier is Kane Te Tai. Killed in action towards the end of March. Sadly, the 3rd New Zealand volunteer known to have been killed in Ukraine. Two were soldiers and one was an aid worker. He and the others died for what is right and, for many of us here, are heroes. Kane had another reason to fight in Ukraine as, from what l understand, his fiancée is Ukranian. I don't know how long the link will stay up but, he was laid to rest here in Aotearoa/ New Zealand 5 days ago. I'll post it separately to my comment so they won't both be removed.

Rip Kane Te Tai, I watched your tangi back here in NZ on tv. I never thought I would see you on Civdiv being a badass. I never knew you but I feel like you could have been one of my cousins (probably are in a broader Māori sense😂), one of my mates, someone who would stand up to bullies and stick up for strangers. funny as the ukranians started this on feb 14 killing 26 civilians striking civilians directly. the independent republics asked for russian intervention against this aggression
@@febeomnibeepboop6367 they've gotten more killings In our big cities we don't have a foreign country trying to invade us. Those are Ukrainian territories so it should be fixed by Ukrainian police.

Theres lots to learn from every veteran and there’s a select few places where you get to see that. Getting the soldier's text commentary into what's happening and the reasoning behind various choices is particularly interesting. Definitely provides a huge insight into the daily lives of these brave men and the lengths required to survive and function in this kind of environment.

thank you civ, this channel shows how war really happens and isn't cut up to show the worst parts like every other media source, i learnt a lot today esp with the audio bar in the corner you can tell the difference between the 5.56 and the AK's 7.62 better with visual as the camera has a habit of merging sound together when too many sounds come in at once, they even have their own distinctive shape in the audio wave, i only come here to watch what really happens in Ukraine, i really hope this war ends soon , Slava Ukraini

great to see the more realistic side of war, where much of the time is spent waiting, some people in their couch belives its a constant firefight, but waiting is 99% of a warriors life, but we live for that 1% action, take care, hope to see more videos

I am ukrainian, and I shamefully didn't manage to man up and join the army. When I see people from other places of the world fighting for us it makes my eyes tear. I need to join the army eventually. Thank you, with all my heart I thank you!! You are the reason im still alive and not tortured to death by russians.
Don't be hard on yourself. This kind of stuff is not for everyone. Some people are just not build for it, and may do more harm than good. In 5 years no one will even know or care.

3:19 Man, it takes some serious braveness: They take up a new position and 200 meters in front of them are buildings with several rows of windows. For all they know, an enemy sniper could be in there. In that case, they'd have no chance. The first bullet would almost certainly kill one of them. Their life could end at any moment.
Great work by the brave men and women from multiple countries volunteering in Ukraine. I watch these videos because my brother who is currently an army national guard previously active duty Army served two tours in Afghanistan so it gives me a little better idea of what exactly they have to endure during these times of conflict.
Every time I watch one of these videos I always hope to see a old freind who's been fighting scince 2014. I know the odds are incredibly slim but I still hope.

I’m a huge gun guy, so so seeing him with a different gun is cool. I’d like to know more about his rifle set ups and why he switched to the one in this video. Slava Ukraine🇺🇦 Edit: kinda interesting that sometimes you could be in a gunfight, and there are other people standing by listening to the gunfight and analyzing every shot you take. Learning the different sounds of weapons that may give them useful tips in the future as to who is shooting when they hear gunfire near. Hell, he even knew that the artillery round did not detonate because he’s heard enough to know that this one sounded different. I didn’t notice it til he mentioned it bc I’ve never been in that situation or been fired at by artillery. This stuff is crazy.
He was wounded back when he carried the M4. Took quite a long time to recover from a serious neck injury. I'd guess when he was ready to get back in the shit, he was issued new gear

I am not aware of how it works and whether you can buy your preferred weapon and equipment if you can afford it or not. That is why I was asking. The demeaning comment as if I am stupid and think that war is just a video game to be played was not necessary.
