If only I could say thank you a million times to all of you keeping up with me when I post, messaging, donating to my RU-vid.. all the support means the world. My team is equally grateful for your love and support, especially as we transition to strictly fpv bombing, and the added costs associated with that. Thank you! ❤️
Could you put a paypal adress in the video description? I don't get this yt donating and scammers are wild, I feel safest if its in your video description. Or please explain how exactly to send you 100$ via yt in your next video. For stupid people...
I saw another video about the iraq war, and how a lot of the times all they could do is crack jokes while under mortar fire 10 feet away as they take cover in a foxhole, and its just them all being nervous and scared as hell, but thats all they can do. Its definitely a way to cope with the super stressful situation.
The alternative is to stop thinking and shut down, which is far more dangerous in combat. If your friends keep a level head you’re far more likely to as well.
I'm not a combat vet .but they all say there is at least one guy with a group that will break the realism of the situation with humor and many said it helped
Heard marksmanship is a huge practice/hobby there recently as well! Probably for no specific reason other than the enjoyment of the outdoors and obtaining precision with hunting tools.
@@anthonynash8079totally Bro! The war in Ukraine is basically a video game. Sure 500k total men are dead, but that's part of the video game experience.
Heads up, blur is not destructive and can possibly be deciphered with some software. Better to just not include or black box it if its that much of a security risk
@@Youknowwhatimsayinnn you ever watch that video from the former chinese soldier fighting on the russian side? That's not victory he's describing that's running out of manpower 💀
I truly hope he comes back home. I have a sister for him. She has huge crush. Our oldest brother is Iraqi commando who served with british and American special forces against IS, my husband was navy who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, my oldest sister’s husband was air force pilot during Iraq. My father, sister and I work for VA. Regardless, this beautiful man is the true definition of a warrior spirit. P.s. my sister is very beautiful😂
It's crazy how prevalent those drones are now. I worked in a hobby store 5-6 years ago and seeing the kind of drones I use to fix and fly dropping bombs on people and vehicles is wild. Once u get a familiarity with the components on those, they aren't to bad to fix. The parts are pretty universal in nature. Stay safe, CivDiv! 💖💖
Red lights are used during nighttime military ops because they preserve night vision (natural vision in low light), not because red is stealthier or harder for the enemy to see.
Nahhh Brat, The red light is for, for example: a doctor who is carrying out an evacuation or needs to treat an injured companion at night. It helps to not be exposed to the enemy.
I know nothing of war, but the homies gun jamming because he added new attachments and didn’t test his weapon enough sounds like the type of complacency that’ll get you or your team killed.
I know nothing of war either, aside from tactics from classes, and experience from practice with my brothers and friends who served as I always wanted to to but was injured young, but I cannot fathom throwing a new attachment on my duty rifle and not testing it 10-20 times for accuracy and quality of said new attachment theirs just to much risk to yourself in teammates, even just zeroing your rifle and running into battle is an insane concept to me. Unless your bumrushed and have no choice obviously, but no check double check triple check ect ect ect especially in cqb situations, you gotta be able to trust your gear with your life, so you have to take care of it and treat it like you would any life saving tool.
@@ThyVictimalways the same excuses. Injury. As to why you never served. I know war. I know it well. Not to the extent of the conflict in Ukraine. But Afghanistan I know extremely well. You throw a suppressor onto your rifle. And you won’t test it 10-20 times. You’ll check zero with 5 shots and be done with it. There’s no time to test. Not when you’re kicking doors all night every night.
@@sabian5290 it’s an excuse very familiar to my ears buddy. I’ve heard every one who hasn’t served say well I tried but they said no because I got injured. I smashed my legs to bits after being hit by a bus and fell 25 feet to the ground. At 9. I still had a wonderful career. Got blown up and had major spinal surgery in 2012 January. I deployed again to Afghanistan in march 2013. Left service in 2015 due to missing two years of my son’s life. Only reason. To this day I’m in agony every day. Takes me about half an hour to stand straight. Do I make excuse no! So S T F U you W ⚓️ *. Or are you a 🐈 just like the last guy?
@@MajorMac621 nah cuz I don’t wanna go. I also didn’t ask for ur sob story 😭😹 I’m just saying you don’t know this dude or his life or his injury he could be walking with a cane would you want him right beside when shit gets real and bullets are whizzing bye ya? I don’t think so. It’s no surprise you went military that brain of urs isn’t capable of much more than taking orders 🫡🍤🧠
It’s crazy how he ‘talks like a RU-vidr’ whilst covering REAL LIFE TRAUMATIC COMBAT EXPERIENCES… Almost like he is a reviewing a film, hats off to this guy 🎩
@@JackFromWyomingthought you guys were all about fredom and democracy but when it comes to defending a country from facists ypur too worried about your taxes the amount of over spending your goverment does on military spending is crazy when that stuff can actually be used for once.
@@JackFromWyomingYour taxes ain’t nothing…. Canada has 20% tax on everything you buy and we barely even have a military… they use their taxes on Medical/Police fascism against the citizens of Canada…
Yes, drone operators aren't like soldiers. As you can see he's always chilling in bunkers. This man has low risk. If he was on the front this would be a different story.
Civ Div your experience with drone warfare makes you the most experienced American military personnel in that field. I have a feeling you will have a lot of gigs after this war.
Love you! Thank you and all your pals for your blood, sweat and tears… and most of all dark humour and camaraderie. Sending all the best from Britain xx
Mad respect man. Did a number of rotations in Iraq myself. Stopped really paying much attention to conflicts after I got out in '09, so I'm not very well informed on the happenings in Ukraine, but I've got nothing but respect for the guys on the frontline there. Stay safe brother.
BRUTHA you’ve been a huge supporter since even the beginning, really appreciate you. That’s gonna go towards another digital camera for a bomber (you know from the member only videos) ❤️
Take care of your mental health man. I never served, but I recognize the lack of sleep in your face. Don't get mania please. With brotherly love, all the best wishes, take care
Made me think back to when Brandon Mitchell and Operator Starsky, each had told a similar story about thinking they were saving the day by shooting down a drone. Then finding out in both incidents, the drone was Ukrainian. Lol! 😁♥️🇺🇦🤝🇺🇸💙✊🤙
Well logically you're not going to feel sad when your enemy dies. I wouldn't have the same emotional reaction to a family member dying compared to some random person I don't know.
Keep doing what you're doing, absolutely love to see what you're doing in Ukraine.I can only hope every country gets support in their time of need. I sent you $20 as a super thanks, not sure why it's not showing up here, but I thought leaving an encouraging comment would be good anyway!
I noticed just the other day I havent seen any new vids pop up in my feed, got a little worried something might have happened. Good to see you're safe and well my friend, great work you're doing!
Glad that you guys have remained relatively safe and healthy out there man!! But as always, it’s always a pleasure to see these notifications pop up!! Prayers for continued safety for you and the fellas!!! 🙏🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🙏🏼
I'm a engineer and use 3D printing for a lot of stuff, if I could help in anyway (produce parts, make CAD files for parts needed so y'all can print it) I would love to help.
Thank you CivDiv, you have no idea how much these videos mean to me, and im sure more! i absolutely hope for the best of you, please make it home! Keep showing the world what an American can do!
For that mysterious flare; it’s possible they tracked your drone somehow via radar or other sensors. I don’t think it’s possible for them to get an exact location but they could make an educated guess. They would also have to assume you aren’t using a relay, hence why they might not have engaged.
God bless Civ Div i dont usually involve my self in this type of stuff but I been following this guy religiously for so long and I hope he comes home safe.
Respect brother, stay safe a vigilant out there. May the Angels keep your guard and help your friends repel any danger from them bad dudes. Respect, from your Boot Camp Scribe PLT 3069.
10:17 Common misconception when it comes to the red lens. The Russians are using the lens the wrong way. If you are walking around at night with a light on you will (almost) always be seen first. Red lens isn't to make you less visible to the enemy. Light travels far no matter the color setting. Its used to preserve the "night vision" in your eyes. Bright/ white light affects the rods and cone alignment in your eyes. Red light is to minimize that. The red lights is supposed to be used to do things like read a map; and when you do that you are supposed to cover yourself and the light source (with like a gortex or something) so that you can see with out others seeing the light.
Love it! This kind of stuff offers a more relatable experience than just watching a bbc documentary or something. I also laughed when you talked about having to break down your camp and then command says …oh wait never mind set it all back up again. lol totally the most Army “hooah” shit ever. Stay safe brother!
dude i doubt you'll read this but as an infantryman during the first stages of the iraq war i love the insight you give to modern warfare to us old fuckers. BE SAFE and VIO CON DIOS MI AMIGO. keep your head down
War is actually so scary. The way you describe this literally makes me picture if myself. I dont know how you can cope with it man, you are truly brave
@@USA_Official_Democracy I did my fighting with 2/9 Marines. Truth never fears investigation. Ukraine is ran by banderaites. Imagine having neon@zis as your elite combat units and getting world wide support. Why dont you research how many former german generals and officers became the heads of nato and the un after ww2. The germany army lost ww2 not their idealist they lived on as heads of nato and un. And thousands brought to america given top security clearances under operation paper clip.
@@USA_Official_Democracy brother this civdiv guy fighted for years against a NATO country with real terrorists called PKK you think he care about morals? he just fuck around and hopefully find out soon
You're never going to see this but you make me proud as both a man and an American. You are living to the fullest to your ideals, values, and morals. That to me is significant because its only the people like you and your mates that change the world, while men like me standby and let the people living fully dictate aspects of our lives.
I remember the first time I switched radios to a new one while first learning how to fly years back, wasn’t used to the position of the disarm switch and when I went to switch modes, just disarmed midair straight into the ground… right into the only manhole cover in the middle of a field.
The whole point of red lenses is that the red light won't mess with your natural night vision. I dunno who's going around saying it's "stealthy". I've personally never heard that.
Dude, you are a true warrior and a true hero! I Hope you'll stay safe, and don't let them kill that positive energy you have either! Blessings from Finland 🙏
The important question not answered by this video: if you're focusing your efforts on drone construction and maintenance, who is keeping the critical inventory of jorts up?
Brother you are a legend. A man always fighting the good fight and doing it with honour and respect. Stay safe and much love brother from Liverpool UK 🇬🇧🇺🇦🇺🇸
