Corie and I visited with the wonderful folks at Satterfield's Briarpatch Greenhouse And Nursery this week. We came home with a car load of wonderful plants and enjoyed spending time with the Satterfield family. The nursery is a wonderful resource for folks in this area of Appalachia.

I am Quincy’s mom, Jessica Satterfield-Tipton. I am so honored to read all of your wonderful comments about Quincy. He loves his Mamaw and Papaw, and the Nursery business. He has absorbed everything that they have taught him. Hopefully he will take over the family business someday. He definitely has always been an old soul. @jessicasatterfield370 it's so easy to say wonderful things about your son he is so sweet and has such good manners in this world today you don't see it that often anymore. It shows what good people you are it shows in how you teach your son. you all have such a beautiful nursery I'm so glad you all are doing so good with it . I would love to come see everything I love flowers but I can't travel anymore or do my flowers since my disability that's why I love watching Tipper and her wonderful family their videos keep me company and passes the time for me . I have sure enjoyed meeting you all through her videos and thank you for letting us meet your wonderful son . Hope you have a wonderful weekend 😊

This is my family. MY daughter went with me every year to get flowers. Then When she had girls of her own they went along and picked out flowers. Now this year my little great granddaughter was flower shopping with us. When I looked up and saw her walking down through the rows with her little hands holding a pot of flowers she had chosen I just had a flashback and was so grateful God gave me these years to spend with my girls in the flowers

@@SuzieQ-lw2kp Mom and Dad have a lot to do with how Quincy is. I grew up in the Greenhouse business, and never liked it, because I had to do it. I went into the medical field, but Quincy loves it, and has absorbed everything that they have taught him. Quincy stays with Mom and Dad most of the time, because that is his “Happy Place.” And, that’s ok with me, because I only live about a half mile from them. I loved spending time with my grandparents too, and wish I had got more time with them.

Oh, that Quincey! He is precious❤️. We had a little boy come in the office last week. He was talking up a storm about fighting dinosaurs and super heroes. He said he could twirl and kick any enemy. We just laughed and my co-worker said she would get too dizzy. The little boy said not him! Then as he left.. he said to himself---God, I’m great!! We all busted out laughing! I have laughed two weeks at that little fella. Children are the best gift that God gives us except His son Jesus. Quincey needs his own show. His parents are so blessed to have a boy like him. Quincy is adorable ! A little ham! Such a sweet NC accent he has, had me smiling the whole time. 🤣 Loved those little dogs Rosie, Roxie. I spied a few roses I want, that very-bright-fuchsia colored one and that pale lavender. That was a lot of fun. I could listen to Quincy talk all day. Tipper is a natural educator the way she asked Quincy questions. We’re all better off for Celebrating Appalachia even if we grew up here. Tipper still teaches us about our culture that we didn’t know or had forgotten. No wonder your girls are so smart. ❤

Tipper I have to say, you look so rested & happy. I am thankful that Granny is home & everything is back to normal, what’s ever normal in life for folks. You have kept me company through lots of physical pain in my time of 2 surgeries for total knee replacement. I was on a cane for 3 years before I mustered courage to have each knee replaced. I couldn’t work in the garden or on our 3 farms for so long. Your gardening & family inspired me to have the best Spring I’ve had since I can remember! THANK YOU FRIEND! that red fuzzy flower is called a chenille firetail. I’ve never grown them, but they would be very interesting in a window box or flower basket. Loved going along with you and Corie shopping for flowers!

What a fun trip, I enjoyed it. You made some gorgeous selections. I can’t wait to see where you plant everything. Last year I bought several roses and I really enjoyed them. I had never considered myself a “rose person” before then but I think I’m hooked, lol. I enjoy the old fashioned roses that smell so wonderful. I’m trying to plant more and more perennials so when I’m really old and decrepit I still have some pretty plants to look at without all the work of planting annuals. Happy planting! TeresaSue

So many beautiful plants. Quincy is adorable. We used to have two elderly spinster sisters that lived in a log cabin and they wrote a weekly column for the local paper and called it foot logs and old folks. My goodness that scenery is gorgeous!

Tipper and Corie what a wonderful way to spend a relaxing day trip together I'm so happy you got to do this making wonderful memories together that you can look back on . I'm so happy to see Quincy again he is such a breath of fresh air so well mannered and knows so much about the plants and the old ways that shows what kind of family he has they sure are doing a terrific job raising him right . Love the nursery shopping!..Stella D’Oda would be beautiful on each side of your steps. They will stay blooming until frost gets them…try to get roses that blooms all summer…I thank they are called knockout roses…yes, she just said knockout roses…oh my this shopping makes me want my foot to get better so I can go plant and flower shopping. Thanks for letting me go with you.

That child is such a inspiration and such a light to me to see him growing up in the world and seeing him knowing the old ways and the new ways as well that is a blessing to me thank you for sharing the video with us all love yall
