I was recently allowed access to Maxwells gold mine up at Inglewood, Victoria, where I got lots of photos/footage before it all gets taken apart.
Here are a few cool clips I got along the way!

G'day, the Maxwell mine has been closed for a while now when it was working l had visited the sight often, l wound if it will start up again as Gold a $3000 AUD an ounce their abouts, Inglewood is a fantastic historical town and while many old building are there time is not on their side, so visit while you can, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.

If some of that machinery could talk, my mate Managed it for awhile years ago. The winding engine was lovely to drive, but those 3/4 tonne ore truck are fun to get in and out of the cages😊. Great video, nice shot looking though the jack catches down the shy shaft into the main shaft.👍⛏️

Hey Michele, I would highly recommend you crank up that winder and get down the bottom and video the last workings. Failing that get a team of keen Big V abseilers to do it for you. History demands it. By the look of the plant it was one of those highly mineralised Inglewood reef systems, Narrow but long and rich.

Thanks Michelle, I managed to get onto PMAV and signed up tonight. I have watched both of those videos and totally enjoyed them thanks. I have been to walhalla several times but learnt quite a bit from your video's, I was also born in Castlemaine so spent a lot of time up in the gold fields around there.
