I'm always amazed at just how lucky the crew were to have Data in this episode.

Plot twist: Doctor Crush and Troi were ringing the doorbell and running. If Picard had asked the bridge crew, he would have learned that.

For a single moment there, Jean-Luc turned British with that "WOT."

That "what...?" with an implied "the fuck?" always gets me.

When Ensign Rager-who expertly piloted the _Enterprise_ out of a Dyson's Sphere-forgets how to plot a course, you know shit just got real.

I feel as though these titles may perhaps be suggestive in some way

Counselor Troi sure came a lot in this episode...

After his meeting with Troi and Crusher, Picard had an uneasy feeling. He checked his door chime's log, and was unnerved to realize he had hallucinated the earlier chimes. And made a couple calls to engineering, to see if they could speed up their departure.

Imagine the kids on the Enterprise running around the decks pushing the 'doorbell' of the Captain & others. Great fun !

I’m not sure about the warp drive, which is fictitious, but in real space if you’re going at a certain velocity, you’ll keep going at that velocity until you encounter some other object. There is no such thing as drifting.

"Night Terrors," was the first episode they filmed in 1991 after the Christmas break. Because of that and the nature of the material (spooky, sleepy, etc.) it overran by 9 minutes and had to be severely cut for time. The energy level of the cast was very low and the timing was off. Michael Piller and Jeri Taylor and the cast have all said that it was a good concept but a very boring and disappointing execution; they believed the middle was especially slow.

2 things. The Tikken's Rift should have been presented as a more serious physical danger to the ship. Maybe during the briefing, it's mentioned there's only one recorded instance. Implying that other ships that got trapped never made it out. Also, why isn't Mr. Data affected by the Rift? He's single-handedly saved the crew so many times, it would be nice for him not to be a trump card this time.
