Finally your going to Lanzarote the better island,we always stay in Costa taguise but go to pdc in the car for the day, could you please try out a new restaurant as I didn’t have time to go, it’s called serenity restaurant, there’s 3 floors, lower level shops then restaurant then a bar on the roof over looking the sea

What I love about Lanzarote is there are no towering hotels!

Hi Lee, we have been to all the islands, and lanzarote has to be the best island for excursions, you must go on the excursions to the underground pools in the volcanic rock, ( where the king of Spain is the only person allowed to swim in it! ) jameos del agua.. Also the volcano tour, where you can see your food being cooked above the lava from the volcano. Have a great time, Andy & Kim Blackpool Donut man.

Have a good trip Lee. Defo do the Timanfaya National park and have the steak cooked over a Volcano, if you are a nervous passenger on a coach then don't look down :-) last time I was there I was singing "we are the self preservation society" from the film "the Italian Job" the classic version and the best one. As I commented yesterday I always stay at the Beatriz Playa in Matagorda, great views of aircraft. If you are going that way please can you mention if the centre with a few shops is still there please? Last time I was there, there was an Irish bar and a few different places to eat, Chinese, Italian etc..

Lanzarote is great, Lee. Make an effort to visit Teguise, Famara beach, and of course Cesar Manrique's (artist/architect) home at Tahiche and installations - Jameos Del Agua. A trip to the volcanic Timanfaya national park area, Haria plus the vineyards.

Lee that's my second home, go to Spoons ( next to large Spar) main strip €1 a pint ( 12pm-6pm) was there three weeks ago going back in four weeks. Love Puerto!! Good luck Lee 👍🤞

Great vid Lee, but check out Playa Blanca (on Lanzarote's south coast) - it is far more classy! Try eating at La Chalanita restaurant, right on the front promenade. Great views and fantastic food / drink! 👍🍷🥩🐟🍽

you can book for private transfer to the hotel through Jet2, I have done that twice to beat the coach taking for ages to get to the hotel, the longest transfer to the hotel for me was Kos in 2019 arrived 11:40pm at night, after that I decided to do private.

I’ve mostly stayed in Playa Blanca. I recommend the beaches near their Papagayo… Worth the effort! Go to the anvil Irish bar for breakfast! You can also get the ferry over to Fuertaventura… Enjoy!

Also go to Costa taguise and try the restaurants in pueblo marinero , El Maestro is one we love

I live in Lanzarote! Lived here 28years to date. Let us know if you need any recommendations for Restaurants 😜 For traditional tapas restaurants you need to go out of Puerto Del Carmen and head to Arrieta (nice restaurant on beach there). If you don't wanna travel far for tapas then try El Niño behind the Burger King. Nice steak restaurant (and good sea food) just down road to you called cangrejo rojo. And for decent English breakfast go into Purple Turtle there on the hill where you filmed.

Goto Playa Blanca - far classier! Some cool places down by the harbour - Volcane (or whatever) do a Bull Chop!!

You should try another new canary island fuerteventura it would help me and my family know where’s good to go and eat and what to see

Hi, If you like a Chinese try Peking Duck on Avenida de las Playas at PDC. All you can eat buffet. Very friendly staff. Do a camel ride up Timanfaya if you have a good constitution. Keep up the good work.

Lanzarote is my favourite, looks like your in the old town, I've never stayed that far up. Go in to the strip and on the Beach side you will find Electric Scooters, you pay for the time and they are a great way to get about, you can go all the way down on the beach side and the seafront takes you all the way to the back end of the airport if you want to go that far x Enjoy your holiday 👍

Route 66 in PDC late on is a good night. Some nice restaurants in Puerto Calero couple of Ks up from PDC. Love Lanzarote

Enjoy Lee ! You won't find a plethora of banana growing tents in Lanz ! 🤣 PDC has a lively avenida strip, great beaches and a lovely old town less busy area. Playa Blanca (30mins away) is more laid back but also lively places to be found. Also I suggest you take the 25min ferry from PB to corralejo in Fuerteventura if you have time ! Good Stuff and look forward to your vids from my regular travel destinations ! (with amateur vids !) 👍

Also, have a look at VINCE PH utube Chanel, he lives & works in PDC & does a daily vlog, he use to work at the beach bar ( a great place for a cheeky cocktail on the beach) by the side of the plus Fariones hotel that’s under renovation. It my favourite place to stay as built on the beach & very close to the old town & the strip, can’t wait for it to open again….

I last went to Venice, flew out of Stanstead at 3 in the morning- was drinking Shchiehallion in the pub in the airport. Great time. I never got the mask crap either. Never wore one.

Went to Lanzarote on our second family holiday in 1988 it was a great memory as my nan came along with the 4 of us stayed in Playa Blanca in the Lanzarote Princess was a year old then and which is now part of the H10 chain of Hotels great poignant memories of the standard holiday package with Cosmos holidays a Dan Air flight an island that is so close to being on another planet went back to re visit in 2009 and couldn't believe how much Playa Blanca had been developed bur nice and quite place to be

Lived here all my life and out of all the other islands, it's the nicest one out of all the other ones I've been to, many tourists don't know what secrets this island hides, the caves hidden under the lava cut off from the touristic caves, the views from the top of the volcanoes, the mora fruit that comes once every year, carnaval, Arrecife Rock concerts, fire bomb night with their tradition routine display in Haría, the friendly locals in the north in Maguez, Famara beach, the agriculture of Cesar Manriques work and law on how all the houses are painted white to reflect the heat away from the houses, there's so many places hidden away though

A litre of Jameson was 20.20 Euro in Hyper Dino in Puerto Rico last month .14 Euro on the Ryanair flight or 2 for 25 Euro. The more you drink the more you save .

You are so right about the self service tills. Next move from the likes of burger king and McDonald's, you will fry your own burgers using robots while you wait. The big corporate companies are doing everything to save a pound. I studied the ethics of self serve tills 8 years ago as part of computer science degree. The impact was scary.

Hi Lee , I’ve been going to lanzarote for years now and is one of our favourite places to visit, here’s a few restaurants in pdc you might want to try, the little elm very nice not cheap but good , the sunshine Asian restaurant the have good set meal offers the Thai red chicken curry is great and a little further along from there is the himalaya Nepalese restaurant which is really good 🙂. I loved Lanzarote, we stayed in Costa Teguise, it was very nice. I wish it was a bit more Spanish though. If I wanted to holiday in Britain, I'd got to bloody Blackpool, Skeggy or Trecco bay. 😉 Are you planning on going to Timanfaya? The dinner in Yaiza was a bit expensive but worth it. Famously, Karl Pilkington went to Lanzarote in 2002 or 2003 and was told by many before going that it was Lanza-grotty. His report when he returned confirmed that it was, indeed, "A bit ropey". There are, apparently, thirty-six volcanoes. Good luck, I will be interested to see what your experience is 20 years later!

MacMaster I’m a Puerto Del Carmen expert if you like good food try ‘My Kitchen Julius’ outstanding steaks , ‘No Stress’ for outstanding Italian food and for a bit of class ‘Serenity’ an amazing experience with a great restaurant and a chill out roof top bar with loads of jacuzzis it’s outstanding and Bar 67 for some proper Irish home style entertainment ps the best Sunday roast on the island is the Auld Triangle bar in Matagorda about 10 mins away really worth it the food is amazing 😜👍🏻🍀🇮🇪☘️

Hi Lee. Glad you had a safe journey over. Know how you feel about being last drop off from coach. When i was in GC i chose Puerto Mogan resort way down southern tip of GC. ( Little Venice ) I booked my own place to stay right down on its harbour. You guessed it not only last off coach i then had to walk with cases about 3/4 mile to my harbour suite. Loved how you kept filming all aspects of a typical flight too. Nice for anyone viewing for first time experiences. Please please dont just look for full english breckies venues and english style restaurants and bars. mix it up to include spanish tapas bars and some live music would be good. Enjoy Lanz.

My partner's mother has just booked a holiday to Lanzarote with a friend next month. So your will be interesting to watch, as I haven't been there yet. Looking to travel to Portugal in 2023. But would also consider Lanzarote. Have a good time Lee👍🏽make sure that you wear your sun block.

If ever a situation was calling out for a classic MacMaster 'contraversial' this was it. Prawn Cocktail is the Bounty bar of the crisp world i.e. only eaten by lunatics. Walkers Smokey bacon are spectacular, Bacon Fries are gift from the gods (and the good people at Smith's, now run by Walkers and a subsidiary of PepsiCo).

Hi Lee, your in my favourite holiday destination, we have just had a month in Puerto del carman, some great places to eat & drink along the strip, Indian aroma do 6 course Indian meal for 9.95€ & happy hour beer 1.5€ a pint before 19.00 & it’s a proper Indian restaurant, the dolci vita Italian restaurant at the top of the old town has got one of the best views you will ever find. We spend 6 weeks a year in PDC& the beach is great too, enjoy…

You ain't getting me on no damn plane mac. I don't mind driving (as long as it ain't electric) , and now they're talking about electric planes mac. Yeah right mac, make sure you take yer own parachute mac, and £22.59 for a bottle of jamos is dear mac, it's bloody cheaper in waitrose mac. Eat as much as you can before boarding mac, it could be yer last meal mac.. I know you've just been to Brighton mac but a coffee & a pastry how much, now you've definitely had yer pants down mac. All the same mac, you ain't getting me on no damn plane. Xx

Hello Ian would recommend a restaurant called Hatton Garden in Porto del Carmen. The kebab is enormous and very good, price's were reasonable last year. Also a fantastic Mexican called Emmas cantina in the old town by the harbour nice fresh tasty food. Also avoid the restaurants with views out to sea very overpriced and poor quality food. Enjoy your trip.

Wondering now who owns that island it has Spanish looking buildings reminds me of the Malaga area, always looking pristine and clinical. good luck with that euro pint lee, be more like 5 or 6 if your lucky, you know i sussed a scam going on in Malaga in the centre bars, the locals had a different tariff to the tourists, i could not believe it, it just was not British. but Fuengirola i found was far far better value than Malaga centre and they did not rip the tourists off, about 35km west and about a 40 min train ride, travel cost peanuts in comparison to the UK think it was 4.6 say 5 euro and same distance on our local SWT costs me 16 quid , a big difference. and their longer distance buses are like coaches but dirt cheap as well. hope your going to grab some local buses as its a great way to see the island and your free to have a sly beer or three. ticketing is fairly odd if its like Spain. but it works

Your hotel was the last drop off on the coach Lee, but you did get Gate 1 at the airport - swings and roundabouts! ...and no, I don't know why in Spain we still have to wear masks on public transport, in pharmacies and med centres!

I have a recommendation for a pub in hawsker just outside Whitby and it’s called the hare and hounds really nice pub with nice warm feeling to it , really nice food and drinks and good staff, please consider this because it’s really good ( in my opinion) .

I've done all the islands Lee everyone of them sadly this was my least favourite windy!! 3 times mind so I had a go try catch the ferry to furterventura that's beautiful good luck looking forward 2a week with you 🌞😂

I never had problems with the mask wearing, every night after work I got it the surgical knife I got from eBay and cut out the first layer and then put around 100 slits in the mask and they are so thin no one noticed and no problems breathing.

Love the flight vids ,couldn't do with the red light on in the aircraft ,,,outrageous airport prices ,,just shows people have got the money in a cost of living crises
