Come hike with us for a day in Wyoming's Red Desert and Great Divide Basin during our Continental Divide Trail thruhike. Watch our steps and miles add up as we progress through the day. #aDayInMyLife #Shorts
@Angel of Death coffee doesn’t effect me at all. I can drink 5 cups at once and still be able to sleep. It does slightly effect me, but it only makes me feel awake after 3 cups. I have about 3 cups before I go to work every morning. Although perhaps this is due to my ADHD, as I’ve heard caffeine effects those with ADHD differently.
@Angel of Death coffee need some time to actually take an affect on your body. If you take a nap before it does you will wake up double refreshed(sleep and coffee).
It’s not easy especially carrying all of your gear on your back, being fatigued from doing it every day. These kind of thru hikes are extremely impressive!
@@vodkanghost9042 I’ll occasionally reach those distances for work during forestry season. Kind of a dumb retort but if you’re really dying to see a stranger on the internet walk for like 12 hours I can oblige lol. Though it would be a lot easier to show step count or time stamped/recorded gps coordinates on trail.
When Tim said “There’s nothing out here, I love it!” I didn’t get it at first but then I teared up a little when I realized it’s just the two of them out there, like they’re the only two people on Earth. I imagine trips like this must be so romantic at times, and bring a couple closer like nothing else can.
I've done a long thru hike like this. There are very few things that are romantic about it. Constantly covered in dirt, digging a cat hole to take a shit, and the aches and pains that come and go. Despite those things I miss it almost daily but around half the couples that started together split while on the trail.
Blisters are best helped and prevented with duct tape in my experience! Also, investing in a good quality pair that fits super well and gives you the level of support you need is a big help. And never underestimate the importance of good hiking socks!
@@williamstewart7399 Maybe he means my dog in my pfp? She was a Dutch Shepherd, if anyone cares. She died during the pandemic at the ripe old age of 16. I miss her very much.
@@Jesse__H I’m sorry to hear that 😔 I lost my family dog during he pandemic as well. It’s tough, but I’m thankful for all the memories we have with her ❤️
@@d.c.5033fr, how do we people someone with the same interest and how do they have the ability to further form connections with them 💀 The only reason I have friends is because they're all the type to endulge in my bs
Well I’d imagine that by now they’ve worked out how to best understand each other and having similar goals etc on their journeys probably helps as well. If they were a couple that disagreed often etc I don’t think they’d find this type of lifestyle and travel enjoyable AT ALL 😅
@@TimothyVR They probably bring a bunch of portable chargers that they charge every few days in the towns they walk through! I’m sure they’re only on their phone filming videos or texting family, so the battery probably lasts a while!
The more sunscreen you use the more you need. Anyone who is slathering sunscreen on every day is doing it wrong.. only use it when the sun is particularly strong compared to what you're used to. The best protection from the sun is clothing and a tan.
I love watching you guys because I personally could never do what you guys do. Your lifestyle and day to day activities differ so much from mine and I find it refreshing to see u guys enjoy nature and hiking while putting in so much work to achieve such a big goal. Inspirational and enjoyable! Keep it up you guys!😊🍁
I'm sure if they got seriously sick they'd stop as soon as possible, anything less than that and they'd probably just slow down their pace. With an extremely regular diet and virtually no other human contact the chance of getting a stomach bug, or any other sickness really, is pretty low! A lot lower than just moving around in society like normal, eg.
Y’all are so amazing I thought walking like 5 miles was a lot but y’all are walking 33 miles a day!! That’s amazing and you inspire me and a lot of others!! Thank you!!! Lots of love 💕
Your organization and desire will keep you guys hiking forever AND you enjoy this life so much. I congratulate you for finding daily pleasure in both each other and a wonderful fulfilling lifestyle !…❤RV
@@gracedbypete it really depends on how much rides/queuing up you do - on an empty day at the park, it’s easy to rack up over 20k, which is about 10 miles. loads more high-fat foods at disney though, lol
So jealous of you guys. To have someone you love so dearly join you on such a life changing adventure is so beautiful. Good luck on your future journeys
Bruh I locked my keys in my car like 2 weeks ago, had to walk 2 miles home and back. My legs were Jell-O, my lungs were on fire, and I was literally _dripping_ sweat. Mad props, because I'd have collapsed and died 10 miles in.
me, a diagnosed agoraphobic, wondering why youtube recommends hiking over huge distances in complete open space lmao, in all seriousness although i am scared even picturing this, it is so very impressive, and i cannot imagine the level of fitness you're at, i went from 5 to 9-10k steps per day and injured my hip and ankle after five days lmao, your stretching routine must be ✨pure gold✨
@@communistsharks6889 Thanks! Strangely enough, I see people walking around town with them from time to time. Maybe those folks have balance issues or something like that.
@@projectmayhem6769You have obviously never hiked. Sunscreen is so oily and dirt/dust will fake your face out west if you don’t wear a gator or bandana. Not to mention the food you pack is extremely high in carbs/fats which is awfull for your skin.
70,000 steps!! 😮 incredible. My goodness! I live in Astoria and I still can’t believe you paddled the Columbia River out to the bridge here. I love watching your adventures.
@@reneeandtim I can imagine! It’s the most dangerous bar in the world I’m pretty sure! What a feat you were able to accomplish! Quite impressive. Try it in the summer next time when the sail boats are out! 😊
I love seeing your videos. It really brings back my desire to do some distance hiking. Definitely not something this long but maybe a three or four day. Keep sharing and I will keep following your adventures.
