For the crayon, use your hair dryer and warm up the wax from the crayon and then wipe it away.

For the crayon on the stool/floor you can heat the wax up with a blow dryer the wipe away with wet wipe or paper towel.

Something you can do when you change seats, is make a diagram and put it on the smart board! Put little boxes for desks, an put your students name inside! To make sure your students know how it’s placed, you can put your desk and other noticeable things in your classroom on that diagram as well. The good news is that you can reuse the diagram for each class and also if you use that seating again! Also, it’s self sufficient for your kids. Love you!!

I eat and teach A LOT at the end of the year. My kids just get used to it. I wait until the actual teaching is done and eat while I walk around and help them if they need it. Hang in there!

Crayon off floor and wobble stool, dry magic eraser. Everyone in Japan uses this and works like a charm. Also dry magic erasers also get pencil off of desks etc. Wet magic eraser gets marker off.

For the crayon issue...use a BROWN PAPER SACK (you can also use paper towel) & WARM IRON. Place the sack over the crayon & then use the heat from the iron to gently melt the crayon. The wax will absorb into the paper sack/paper towel. Keep moving the sack/towel to a clean area until all of the wax is melted & you're able to clean up. I've used this on carpet & it works great. Good luck!

For the crayon, I have kiddos who like to draw on the floor and I discovered that hand sanitizer takes it RIGHT OFF! Hope this helps. Love your videos!

For the crayon, maybe you can go at it with a blowdryer first before trying to wipe it off? Since it's wax, I think it'll start to melt it off a little and loosen it.

I remember doing Boosterthon when I was in elementary school! We used to get little prizes for every level we completed in donations! It's crazy that they are still doing it! I'm a freshman in college, (I'm a double major in elementary and special ed) and I did Boosterthon over 10 years ago!

Thanks for sharing what teachers experience (the highs, middles, and lows!) & being so honest- wish I were half as brave as you are! I've used a Magic Eraser to remove pretty much everything from floors, walls, desks, and chairs within our classroom- even crayon, though never from our wobble stools. Gotta LOVE how spring affects our class environment and student behavior! My grandmother used to say that the purpose of teenage years is to make it easier for parents to let go of their babies...I suppose spring & the end of the year behaviors do the same for educators.😉 Hope you have a wonderful spring break!!

Love this video. I wish we had boosterthon when I grew up. In my school we did boring things like spellathon. I love fundraisers that keep the kids active. I hope your school gets what they need in terms of diverse books in classroom libraries. Reading was and still is one for my favorite things to do. I love Annapolis. It is one of my favorite cities to visit. The naval academy is an amazing school rich in tradition. I love the idea of “spring organizing” your classroom. Keep doing you!!

Crayon clean up: Lay a paper towel on top of the crayon mess and use an iron to melt the wax. The paper towel will soak up the wax as it’s melting!

To make seating charts my teacher puts numbers on the desks and then she lets us pick a number out of a cup and we go to that number then she writes down all the numbers on a paper and we write our name next to number (although the numbers are in order to where the desk is like if it’s at the front of the room the numbers are close to the top of the paper etc.)

this is what crayola.com says to do: Spray the stained area with All Purpose cleaner and wipe with paper towels. If stain persists, dampen a sponge with warm water and liquid dish soap to work the area in a circular motion. Rinse with water. Repeat as needed.

Step 1 Spray the WD-40 on the crayon stains on your tile and grout. Rub the stains using a dry cloth and use the brush to scrub the crayon particles out of the grout for easier removal. Step 2 Repeat the process until the crayon stains are gone. Step 3 Squirt a little dishwashing liquid on the stains and rub it in with the cloth to remove the WD-40 residue. Step 4 Rinse the tile with cold water and rub it until it is dry with a separate cloth.

I have a awesome idea for the crayon situation.. idk f it will work but try scrapeing as much off as u can with a butter knife ( & ur gonna need a SOS sponge for the last step) Then get a hairdryer & heat up where the crayon is & scrape it as it melts. And repeat those steps til the crayons off the seat. For the floor, try to same thing. If that doesnt work i am so sorry but its all i could think of. But the when hairdryer melts the crayon its be like candle wax, its gonna be runny. gonna splatter a tiny bit so dont wear something u dont want tiny sprits of crayon on. Its not gonna splatter a ton but a few drops here & there is bound to happen. The the last step is to take the SOS sponge & some soap or whatever cleaner u use on ur classroom floors & clean up the seat & floor before ur ready to use it after u get the crayon off of it.

I went to the Navel Academy as a field trip to, it was fun. we went with the high school and got the Iron Rooster for lunch and the next week we went to the Annapolis State house and got Ice cream, lunch at multiple places I went to Mission BBQ with my cuz and we took a long walk and the teacher went in the middle of a bridge to take a picture. and ICECREAM

For the crayon: heat up the area (you can use a lighter but I would use a hair dryer) that’ll melt the crayon and than you can just wipe it off with a cloth! 😀

Believe it or not a big eraser does the trick. It melts the crayon for you to be able to wipe it up easier. Also bleach and a scrub brush but idk the schools protocol on harsh chemicals.

Probably the most efficient way to remove the crayon would be to use a hair dryer and then while its warm and possibly liquid, just wipe it off with paper towel.

we did the Boosterthon this year too and I have that same T-shirt. I love it because it is one that we can wear from now on because it doesn't say Boosterthon. I teach Special Education. grades k-2 and my students enjoyed going and doing the big run they had. All but one that we had to remove from the gym because that student decided to just take off on his own to run. LOL

I was just thinking, my school does something where at the beginning of each month we get some sort of type of tickets we get 21 of those and then each time we don’t have our homework or we get in trouble or something in the hallway then they have us roll the dice and that’s how many tickets we owe. I don’t know if that will work for you, but It works in my classroom.

with the tickets. when i was in elementary school we had a golden ticket table at lunch. our name would get drawn & at lunch we sat with the other kids who got drawn & we had board games to play. with receiving the tickets i can’t remember how we earned them.

When I was in second or fourth grade my teacher bought fake money and told us we had to get a certain amount on cents a week to get a prize, just a thought
