Hi y'all! So one thing that I've learned from thrifting and working at a thrift store is knowing what goes on during the week! 1. my specific thrift store had "ragout" Thursdays meaning every Thursday we would go throughout the entire store and get rid of everything that had been on the sales floor for over a month. Typically those were the worst days to shop because a lot of inventory was taken out and since most of the time was spent doing that, not much new stuff was put out! 2. Shop at thrift stores that are near "wealthy" areas (like Kera said). I worked at the largest thrift store in my state so of course we had a lot of items as is but we were also located in the center of 3 "wealthy" towns. You wouldn't believe how many name brand/brand new clothes and items were donated every single day! 3. check for the days where there are discounts! everyone who thrifts probably already know this, but so many thrift stores have 50% off a certain colored tag every week! At the one I worked at, we had one color every week but on Wednesdays, we had 4/5 colors on sale! I've been thrifting for a very long time and didn't know about half of this stuff until I was working at one myself! I hope this helps anyone out there, Happy thrifting :)

I LOVE going to thrift store to shop as well! I always find my clothes at thrift stores, 'cause buying clothes at the regular retailers is EXPENSIVE, and you can find stuff that's just as nice as a brand new dress at a thrift stores. You're not alone when it comes to Goodwill raising their prices, my mom and sister went to the Goodwill at our state and they said everything there was overpriced AF. So the one we usually head to is called the "Helping Haven", which sells clothes for less than a dollar and that's a STEAL, especially since that place oftentimes has great stuff to wear!

The wig in the fitting room! hahahah. I haven't thrifted in forever and our fitting rooms are closed. :( I love thrifting and miss it. And we're in the same boat with Goodwill. I'm spoiled but they're the closest to me. Have you been to a Goodwill outlet? If I'm not sure if the rooms will be open I'll wear a cami and a skirt. Easy for trying on in the aisles. And we think the same. You're my new friend even if it's in my head lol. I'd like to see what you do to the items and how you style them. You can put elastic in the waist of the jeans if you cut open the encased area.
