Enoshima island is a tiny but interesting island that is super packed on the weekends. People from Tokyo come here to eat, pray and bathe. The streets are lined with fresh seafood and kind merchants. It's a jewel in Kanagawa prefecture. It isn't talked about as much as other places, but it really should be. Its particularly packed on New Year's Day where people climb to pray at the shrine here.
