Did you know that I live in Paris for half of the year and in Boston the other half? It’s been a fun adventure for a solo like me to live in two very different cultures and I thought you would enjoy coming with me on a recent excursion to one of my favorite places in Boston.
Today I’m going to take you on a tour of Boston's Beacon Hill and Public Garden. Women like us in midlife might be especially drawn to these areas for their rich blend of history, charm, and natural beauty. Beacon Hill, with its picturesque cobblestone streets, historic brownstones, and boutique shops, offers a serene yet vibrant atmosphere perfect for those who appreciate refined, cultural experiences or just grabbing a cup of coffee and catching up on your favorite book in a cafe.
The nearby Public Garden is a bit more tranquil and is the perfect mid-day escape with its beautifully landscaped grounds, iconic swan boats, and diverse flora. I love to visit and enjoy a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Together, these locations provide a perfect balance of leisurely exploration and rejuvenation. I find them ideal for enjoying both historical and natural attractions in a sophisticated urban setting.
I hope you will join me for this solo adventure in Boston!

My sister and I visited this area in May for the Beacon Hill Garden Tour. We loved the whole Beacon Hill neighbourhood, the nearby parks, and the lovely Back Bay Area with so many cute shops, cafes and gorgeous brownstones! Paris is also my fave city!

As an architecture nut I was blown away by the houses in Boston when I visited over 25 years ago - stunning - but one thing Sharri didn't mention (probably because she's used to it) is how friendly Bostonians are: they are always so helpful and that made the trip for me. I do find it fascinating how Sharri just picked up her life and moved it to Boston and Paris: why is Life not straight-forward like that for me?

I grew up just South of Boston and visited Beacon Hill, the Boston Common and Public Gardens from time to time. While visiting family still living near Boston, I visited the Boston Common with my son as we wanted to see the newly unveiled MLK statue I think called The Hands. It is stunning! Then I showed him part of Beacon Hill. So beautiful in late April!

I couldn’t agree more! That statue has been such a topic of conversation- positive and negative. Loved your comments!
