Since I was about 4 years old I have been intrigued with miniatures, like doll houses and tiny detailed furniture, and Barbie dolls and all that stuff. I love seeing the dollhouses on Instagram. But when I get home fromwork I just love to watch RU-vid 😂 that's my current hobby 😂😂😂😂I like your channel!

I've always loved handmade jewelry and enjoy going to the Gem & Jewelry show that travels around different cities in the US. I've amassed quite a collection of beads, semi-precious stones and other materials. But the class I want to take is learning to make Italian micro-mosaic jewelry using broken porcelain. The idea of repurposing damaged items into beautiful works of art is appealing.

I decided a long time ago when I went to school for web design at 55, that you can teach an old dog new tricks, but for some people the question is does the dog want to learn? I started illustrating by accident in illustrator and now am working on a card line. I’m working on little projects and I am enjoying it!! I’m doing it for me struggling and making mistakes and thanking God that I can. 😊

I just joined Postcrossing. Its a global community of exchanging postcards. I enjoy making postcards and finding just the right one for someone. Love that feeling of finding mail in my mailbox😊

Has anyone else noticed the societal injustice when a couple splits up? All the man needs to do to get a whole new circle of friends is join either a cricket league, fishing/motorcycle/golf club and it’s as if you were never there (and it makes it easy to meet other women too!). Women on the other hand don’t tend to go around in tribes and just end up crafting, walking, perhaps joining a book club or gym - and if you live in the UK, you’re given a wide berth by couples as the wife is worried you’ll ensnare her husband! I’d welcome your thoughts on this - would make a fascinating video. Thank you. x

Susanne, sadly it feels the same in the states, but hopefully changing a bit. I remember how after my divorce, I was no longer invited out to dinner with couples I had previously joined, and often as a solo. It's bizarre and displays a level of insecurity...the last thing in the world I would do is try to steal someone else's husband! It's certainly a hot topic!!! Thanks for the acknowledgement and conversation.

Never am I invited to partys anymore. Even my best woman friends keep me away from their homes (husbands). I guess its nature but it hurts a lot. And its not something you can talk about or analyse with woman who are in a relationship. I guess we are more driven by our instincts then we are aware of.

I just had this conversation with my daughter! My “friends “ also stopped inviting me to dinner and I couldn’t understand why. Then I thought I would make an effort and I started a supper club for just us ladies. That way no one would fear “losing” their hubbies. But that slowly disappeared as no one was interested 😢. It’s a sad state of affairs bc we need our friends now more than ever 😢

My latest midlife hobby has been manicured nails and fine jewelry! Its been fun discovering the art of gemology in relation to new/old money. ❤

Thank you for your comments! I plan to bequeath them. Emeralds, rubies, pink diamonds, blue sapphires, black pearls, etc. But for now, they will improve the quality of my life. The well-dressed lady. ❤️

In my work, I found many older people found great enjoyment and fulfillment in drawing and coloring. It doesn’t require artistic skills, it naturally engages many areas of the body and brain, including areas that stimulate pleasure through the nervous system, and can be incredibly relaxing, a great release from stress or anxiety. The materials don’t have to be expensive and are easy to obtain. If one starts with a very simple piece, it can lead to one’s own creative paths! 💕🌷💕

It depends on how big you want that chapter to be.. are you thinking War and Peace or a one page short story? As an example. Reaching outside of yourself is a good place to start. You can do it 🥰
