I didn’t know the Sun as a tabloid in the US but this guy, Steven Edginton, is a top notch interviewer. When a notice comes up on utube for one of his interviews I always watch. He’s going places I hope-he deserves it.

Steven is an excellent interviewer - this series is pure gold. Andrew Doyle is such a bright, well-informed guy - actually able to think about these issues instead of spout doctrine and eloquently examine the philosophical/psychological influences behind the scenes. This is quality viewing like the BBC used to air, a time long ago.

If they sacked you without following proper procedures you could crucify them in a tribunal. If they followed the proper procedures, investigated fully, then sacked you, you'd almost certainly have deserved it.

Thank you for putting forward exactly how I feel, as a white Christian male conservative pensioner I tick all of the boxes. I think this is the first time I have ever done that. I occurred to me one time when watching Mock the Week one time when there was this very obvious Woke aware ‘comedienne’ and I had a blinding flash of inspiration! Could we do a Mock the Woke presentation? Albeit I am not a recognised comedian, I have been known to have a keen wit, and have regularly written funny skits and short plays for occasions, and would be keen to develop something along those lines, along with people who know what they’re doing regarding broadcasting and modern technology.

Critical Race Theory is a socialist societal cancer. It teaches that everything that seems normal and stable in society is actually a form of oppression against its pet groups and tries to join them all under the banner of race. The very foundation of liberal capitalism is being classified as oppression. Eventually they classify all forms of private ownership as wrong and oppressive. The people behind this want to bring down not only privately owned business, but home ownership and even owning your own car is wrong and to be attacked under this mentality. Basically everything we think of as normal is classified as oppression and any agreement with how to reform things is seen as collusion with the oppressive state of affairs. In other words we have let people get into control in politics, education, traditional media, social media, entertainment, advertising, even fashion who want to destroy what we consider normal. As other commentators have said it is like the novels of George Orwell. They are trying to bring a mix of Animal Farm and 1984. I don't even know if you will get this message because they are already in control of the trust and safety teams of all major social media platforms. They are already censoring what we say and more and more controlling how we can think ourselves.

There are extremists on either side of the spectrum. Conservatives have right wingers while liberals have leftists. The continuum is a circle, not a straight line. The further left you go, the more you resemble the far right, and vice versa. Just my opinion of course. I wish liberals and conservatives could see that, compared to the extremists, they have more in common.

How do we get critical thinking back in to schools when it seems even teachers are not thinking critically. Speaking from the US. It scares me that children are being taught what to think in schools rather than how to think.

This young interviewer is extremely good, he’s really following the answers, asking insightful questions and not making it about him. Leads to an interesting and engaging interview. Which more were like him. Mind you this guy was a golden guest too 🙂👍🏼
Can we appreciate a good interviewer. My dad was a now retired journalist and he would say a good interview is 90% them talking and 10% your questions That can’t happen every time but you should try to make that happen. He also said, “they aren’t tuning in to hear you, they’re tuning in to hear your guest”. That really stuck with me.

I grew up in the eighties and nineties, I regarded myself as left wing, a socialist, and had sympathy with and supported feminism. Now, however I see a rabid left, feminism that is rooted in misandry not equality. I can not possibly align myself to a movement that doesn't acknowledge free speech, and I can't believe any reasonable person would. Without the freedom to debate between opposing viewpoints the human race will cease to learn and understand one another. However what is much worse is it will force extreme ideologies to strengthen their position and beliefs, possibly going underground and most definitely ending up with violence. People generally do not like being told what to do and think, they want the information and to decide for themselves. The no platform movement does not afford the opportunity for genuine intellectuals to dismantle sinister politics, therefore I can only distance myself from the left these days, like a lot did in the last election, whilst remaining a compassionate person.
I remember one night many years ago i was getting death threats through the night from my friends insane boyfriend. The response from the police was unless he actually hurts you we cant do anything. I heard only recently this is still the policy .Yet they will get from behind their desks to check up on an offensive tweet.
