here are the time stamps for all the mst3k spots, for those as curious as I am! 17:55 22:00 25:31 (these first three are my favorite because they have joel in them :)) 28:11 (turkey day) 29:25 37:58 (mst3k + tom and crow are featured) 43:48 (mentioned) 45:50 (mentioned) 48:13 (featured - hey, that’s Mitchell!) 49:52 (featured) 51:40 (this one is an honorable mention because patton oswalt is in here, who later played TV’s son of TV’s frank in the new mst3k!) 54:17 54:47 also I *knew* these were recorded from VHS tapings of the show lol with warm regards, a fellow MSTie :)
*I'm trying to find the Comedy Central summer promos from 2001, I think. There's this really fun song that I remember from 2 decades ago, even to this day, but I can never find it on RU-vid.* I'm sure that song goes something like this... "Comedy Central! BRAND NEW SHOWS. Comedy Central! ALL SUMMER LONG. Comedy Central! SING THAT SONG. *Oh, please, make it stop...* South Park, Primetime Glick, The Man Show, and BattleBots! Stand-up comedy and movie premieres... *KEEP ON SINGING, BECAUSE THE FUN NEVER STOPS!!!* Comedy Central! BRAND NEW SHOWS. Comedy Central! ALL SUMMER LONG. Comedy Central! BRAND NEW SHOWS. Comedy Central! ALL SUMMER LONG."
If there is anything that I've learned from this, it's that the Ha! Channel had far better idents, and hell, even programming back then. But they didn't have Mystery Science Theater 3000, and that is a huge deciding factor.
Comedy Central, the house where South Park airs. I know this is sounds sappy and downright girly which I'm a girl.... How about the openings/Endings to either Sailor Moon or Fruits Basket. Take your time. 😀
Thanks for putting this together! The musical bit at 1:07:16 is what I am especially looking for. Does anyone know of a longer recording of this one anywhere, ideally without any narration?
Hey DellFan Productions, if there's any chance of you're time, could you please do a Sony Pictures Television logo history with the Teletubbies, Cyberchase or Frontline Funding Credits Compilations next? It's your choice.
There's a logo you missed. From April 1st, 1991 until May 31st the same year, Comedy Channel and HA! merged and became "CTV:The Comedy Network" However, due to a Canadian channel also being known as "CTV", the Name had to be changed on June 1st, 1991 to "Comedy Central"
