ABOUT BRING THE FUNNY
NBC's proud comedy legacy, which has opened doors for countless comedians, is ready to "Bring the Funny" with a new competition series for the next generation of comedy lovers. The series will feature the world's best comedic acts and, for the first time on television, embrace every style of comedy performance in one competition.
The 10-episode series will bring together some of the most prolific comedians in the industry to serve as judges - "Saturday Night Live"'s longest-running cast member, Kenan Thompson, cultural tastemaker Chrissy Teigen and comedy icon Jeff Foxworthy. Comedian Amanda Seales will serve as host for the competition.
In partnership with the international organization Just for Laughs, which has given rise to some of today's most successful comedic acts via its iconic festivals, tours and television series, "Bring the Funny" will feature the best of the best stand-ups, sketch troupes and comedic variety acts. From solo comics to sketch troupes to musicians, magicians, podcasters, puppeteers, RU-vidrs and more - anyone who can make audiences laugh will have the chance to receive the career-changing $250,000 prize package and see their name in lights in the "Bring the Funny" showcase.
David Friedman and Matilda Zoltowski will executive produce. Just for Laughs President Bruce Hills serves as consulting producer. The series will be produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio.

For everybody asking why is he on the show...it's called promotion. He's good and some might say great but he's promoting himself and his brand. He's on a major network and a big stage and that'll get him more attention to those that are watching and grow his fan base.

He tested her loyalty by seeing if she could handle a dine and dash. She ticked box one when she asked if she could help pay instead of ridiculing him or whatever demeaning act you can think of. Ticked box two when she got up to go, but panicked due to pressure (45 damn minutes). It took him showing the way for her to finally get the courage to 'dip'. Essentially if the going gets tough, would she be able to support the movements that the head of the household executes.

I KNOW all Ali fans saw this & got excited and then pissed off that he would even be on a “competition” show when he’s already a HEADLINER!!! He’s SO TALENTED that he doesn’t need to compete bc he IS THE COMPETITION!! This man is so underrated and hilarious!!! The first time I gave the woman who would be my wife I was driving a hoopty. I warned her that if the car came to a sudden stop and my foot isn't on the brake, don't panic: it's just a bad tie rod end. I'll get out and kick the tire back into place, tighten up the clothes hanger and we'll be good. She looked at me and said, "Yeah, but we're STILL riding." We've been together for 35 years now and her attitude never changed.
