A question for you comic book lovers: is it possible to have TOO much fun at a comic book show? The answer is MAYBE! This comic show was held in a local brewery serving up great drinks, barbecue, and of course COMICS! Check out the video to see this amazing event and the big silver-age book I brought home!

Woke up today thinking the perfect comic show didn’t exist. Well that has seemingly changed over the course watching this video! Surprised I haven’t seen anything like this down in the South. So if they want to bring the show down here I’ll be the first in line!

I don't think the girl's shorts could have been any shorter. Dave Stevens covers - I'm so there! Definitely a significant comic book purchase Mike; The Scorpion is one of my favourite Spidey villains too.

I wish I could go to a show like that. Great deal on that ASM #20 too. The Scorpion was always one of my favorite villains. First seen him on the 1967 Spider-Man saturday morning cartoons. When I was six years old.

What a great show!! That looked like a great way to spend the day. I would totally go to the next show if I lived a little bit closer. I do go to a show and Pennsylvania that is a 5 Hour Drive for me. You are absolutely correct about smaller shows being much better and more intimate. Glad you had a great time and awesome pick up on the Spider-Man book. 😎

Agree the smaller venues are much better. Went to a large comic convention but there was only a handful of comic vendors was terrible.

So fun, love it! Wish we had small comic shows in the SF Bay Area like you do in Mass. don’t know why we don’t. Maybe collecting is a bigger hobby back East? Amazing to think that SF has only one LCS that still carries back issues. All other LCSs have switched over to carrying only current books. Big, big difference from what you got going in New England as a whole.

Yeah that seems crazy to me and I’ve heard that from a lot of people out west. What about the suburbs? Like in Boston there isn’t much in the city proper but all the adjacent towns have comic shops.

Ah man, I wish I had known that show was happening… Ipswich and comics are forever linked for me because there used to be a convenience store in the downtown that had a legit spinner rack. I bought a bunch of Mirage TMNT there when I was a kid visiting my grandparents. You prob avoided Salem at this time of year but I was in Harrison’s last week saw an ASM 1 on the wall 🤤 I’ll be on the lookout for next years show. Thanks for the field report!

Hey Mike, I saw you at the show but you where eating and I was with the family and I didn't want to bother you. I was there with Dave (Marc Spector Comics). Nice picks up brotha. I also stopped by and looked the the Dave Stevens covers. Didn't grab any but they were nice to look at. Lol. 👊🏼

Another great video, thanks! Was that a Blip #1 I saw? First appearance of Mario...you should have snagged that for you Nintendo friend as well if it was in reasonable grade. I felt myself reaching toward my laptop screen when you zoomed in on the Dave Stevens covers...I have some of them but I was drooling over the True Love and the Crossfire...love, love, love Dave Stevens. Yes they did, breweries like this are usually ok because they are also serving food, and the comic show was in a different room anyways.
