In a world where RU-vid is flooded with videos telling you all about how you absolutely have to buy ASM #300, New Mutants #98, Secret Wars #8, Ultimate Fallout #4, & GSXM #1 (as if we don't already know), it is _so damn good_ to see your videos. I always learn about new issues to check out! Definitely on the lookout for Hulk #115 & Giant-Size Spider-Man #4 now.
Thanks Matthew! I decided early on I couldn’t talk about ASM300 every single week. So, I settled on talking about random stuff that I thought was fun/nostalgic/collectible.
Bronze Age Horror is my favorite thing to collect right now. DC had a big lineup of titles back in the 1970s dedicated to the genre (Marvel did too, but mostly reprints) and aside from a few keys, it's a very affordable subgenre to collect. I'm a big horror fan so it's right in my wheelhouse.
It’s true Howard the Duck the movie wasn’t received very well but I have to tell you it’s my all time favorite early comic inspired movies. If the fact that watching the movie over 50 times and owning and living the soundtrack on cassette doesn’t prove my commitment to the movie I don’t know what would lol. My kids who are now in their mid 20’s love this movie as well. They loved it so much they wore out a few spots on the VHS tape lol. I think too many people just love to hate this movie but if you actually watch it for pure entertainment and enjoyment value it’s way better then at least 8-10 movies in the MCU based on that criteria.
What an amazing list I think this is one of your best comics under a certain dollar amount. I really like the idea that you focused on some DC horror as well.

Hey drew Love the dc horror pick A lot of people overlook these great books I find the are more difficult in high grade because people bought them and read them over and over again Lots of great weights on and Neal adams Some u didn’t mention are The phantom stranger Secrets of sinister house Tales of the dark mansion Especially love as I’m betting you do also those 25 cent giants when dc transitioned prices from 15- to 20 cents A lot of great content for a mere quarter Similar to your videos a lot of great content for a very cheap price

Great list cheap comic lidt to get. I am still saving up for my grail books TMNT#1,AMS#129, Hulk#181, X-Men#1 and Batman#1 and then my collection is complete unless i can find keys cheap in the wild.
Those are some hitters! I’m on the quest for TMNT1 1st myself. Seems the only people who ever wind up with copies for sale don’t price based on reality.
I made it a new point to just do as you say not even 2nd guess it.. you've been on the money every time.. and yes i have the She-Ra book and there aren't many secondary characters who are just as popular as the Main hero She-Ra is one of those secondary characters, & would make a pretty good movie someday, limited books out there not sure what the print count was
I liked the Howard the duck movie. The funny thing is I didn’t even know Howard was a Marvel character till 20yrs later… especially when all u see is “Lucas Films” everywhere! I probably seen that movie like 50 times 😂 I never got the bad reviews?
Well, your vid caused me to spend money. Found a high-grade copy of House of Secrets 100 for well under a 100. However, I will probably be buying and spending more on other issues in the series. At least it is one of the more affordable horror titles that features amazing art.
That’s cool. I script my vids to save editing time on the back end. I definitely do research while scripting to make sure I’m giving correct information. The stuff I love I know inside out and backwards, but the hobby is too vast to know everything about everything, especially when you wander off the beaten path like I tend to. Thanks for watching.
I know the feeling Brad! When I first got back into comics back in ‘05 I was buying low grade single digit ASM for $50-75 per issue. Needless to say, things have changed!
