I used to love to build artillery in a row around my base. then they would make a crater in the ground where it took enemies forever to get through. never maid to my base with that artillery wall. what a fun game. miss the CC red alert. that was my fav.
I played all teh C&C except the C&C 4 Tiberium Twiligth...I played it for 15 until I finished convinced that EA killed an impressive saga. But I too, think my favorite of all the Tiberium Saga is Tiberian Sun.
I remember hearing about this game from a friend in highschool circa 2000-2001 CE and being really excited about it. I was in tenth grade I think. When I finally got hold of a copy, I played it with a lot of joy. The soundtrack really stood out to me. I got the game in a multi-game C&C pack which included a four-disc C&C soundtrack collection. I don't have the games anymore, but still have the soundtrack CDs and case. I got my first video-card that year in form of the MSI nVidia GeForce 2 MX. It was my first time building a PC and I did so on an AMD Athlon 1GHz CPU. I was greatly anticipating the release of Tribes 2 at that time. I really appreciate the simple excitement and enthusiasm I had in those days. But, I wouldn't trade any of it for what I have now; a living reality of God in Jesus Christ and having discovering my true self as a child of the true living God, as I really am as a human being-- the feeling of true freedom from all bondage and societal influences; and the feeling of absolute power over and knowledge of my ultimate destiny. Seek God and live!
Ughh Lone Trooper was the shit. it captured everything of Tiberian Sun. The eerieness, the suspense, the feeling like you were exploring a new world that was so fucked up that your infantry had to be inside of suits.
Dusk Hour is one of my favorites...I love the possibility of change the music in game like if the could be an Rockola...This able add more emotion to the game in certain moments of the action...Hmm...I personally when play in Skirmish or LAN, I like to change the music to Gloom or another Sad track, when I acomplished the destruction of the Construction Mobile Facility, or I have destroyed the major part of the enemy base, and they cannot reconstruct. An Himn to de destruction,
When i launched for the first time C&C 3 and when i listened the song "Approach" on the cinematic, i've got chills on the moment, but after that, i was so disappointed...
The funny thing about old game music is if you only heard the song and never had the memories it would suck. Fortunately for us, we know the euphoria that goes with the music. Who knows some of you likely destroyed me online as a kid.
