Continuing the bit of tormenting Ben Brode about Commander Damage even when he’s not here is my favorite Commander at Home tradition

Watching this show has taught me that if I ever played Brian Kibler in a commander game the real winning strategy is to eliminate him early so I get a Pro Tour Hall of Famer to give me bespoke game advice.

Idc if they aren’t the strongest, Keleth + Yoshimaru is the best possible partner combination in any world simply for being a dog and pony show.

Love how Ashlen was tapping her mana when she had infinite mana. Basalt Monolith + Monument always nets u 1 mana.

Before i get too far in, a couple things: 1. Olivia, im never muting you guys, that is a disservice to myself. This show is hilarious. 2. Brian, "he costs 10 mana"...its an eldrazi deck, he's free just like the rest of them. Oddly never had a game where the colourless player got mana screwed in any way. 3. Loved Ashlen mouthing "thats us!" When mentioning friends during the intro. 4. Woo engagement for the algorithm overlords

This channel singlehandedly got me back to the joy of building decks along side a new LGS that has been wonderful despite me staying half a day from what has always been home. Mono-white Anthems with three face commanders I can switch between to change the power level up!

One small thing i always notice and have great respect for on this channel. People on other commander shows always look at peoples cards in hand. Here I dont see the wondering eyes. You all always seem to have a chance to see them. Kibler had lots of chances but always looks forward when noticing he can see olivias cards. thank you for that ^.^ take care and can't wait for the next episode

(With the disclaimer that I haven't finished the video) -- Forsaken monument and basalt monolith is also a neat interaction in that it would also generate infinite mana since the monolith makes 4 and can untap itself for 3! Fun video as always!

I love longer Commander games, most of my friend group's go for a couple hours each time. But we also play with lower power decks, so taking people out takes a little longer. Loved this one

With the sensible assumption that Sakashima is a japanese adjacent name Olivia's pronunciation is correct. The first thing I think of when reading it are island names that often end in -shima (literally island)

28:41 Correct me if I’m wrong, but when casting the modal spell, what is chosen needs to be declared as its cast not as it resolves. So they’d know what would be wiped as he’s casting it. See 700.2a

Small thing. Brian needs to announce his modes of austere command when placing it on the stack. So Ashley would know them before countering it

16:15 - So Ashley assembled infinite mana here (Monolith now taps for 4 and untaps still just for 3). Does anyone have any tips how to approach this when deckbuilding an Eldrazi deck? I have one myself and both of the cards are super good in the deck by themselves. However the combination feels like it pushes the deck up at least a tier in power level and smells too much of the cEDH combos Kinnan does with the Monolith (part of my group also plays cEDH and is rightfully alergic to overlap). I flip flop between just pretending to not see the combo (like Ashley does intentionally or not) and cutting the Monolith altogether even though it is one of the best mana rocks in the decks. Any tips? The cleanest solution would probably be proxy a nerfed version of the monolith that has the "do this only once per turn" line added to the untap, but not sure how my playgroup would react. Alternatively I can just embrace the increased power level, but that isn't something I want to do with the deck and given the lack of tutor options it would feel like a 6 one game and like a fringe cEDH deck in another.

For the Duel of the Fates deck... You could use Kyodai "Key-yo-dai", Soul of Kamigawa as an alternate commander for the other motif in the arrangement. And to just fit the "Sliver Overlord" motif, you can use "Lutri Spellchaser" as the companion.

I love how I actually started making a Keleth partner deck late last week and Kibler plays it today!!!
