Love this deck! What cards would be replaced for these upgrades?

Great Video! I also have a Ghalta EDH deck and I love playing it! I wished there was a MTG and Power rangers crossover so we can get a Dragonzord skin for Ghalta! 😁 Some of the cards I ran that are really cool are: - Tangleweave Armor (always will have a 12/12 stats) - Surrak and Goreclaw (Haste and small pump) - Lupine Prototype and Rhonas the Indomitable (acts like a mana ramp for ghalta) I really like to try Berserk too as it pumps Ghalta to 24 damage. Casting our commander is so easy that it's ok to recast Ghalta again. Another trigger for Up the beanstalk 😁

I'd say it's only a matter of time, I heard they're doing marvel next, so it's possible 😆 I love the suggestions, especially berserk!

Thanks for this, mate. I'd been trying to put together a simple, mono-green deck for newbies for a while, but every time I sat down to brew it, I lost interest. This deck seems like the perfect solution because, while it is simple, it also has a few janky mechanics (notably regenerate) that make it appeal to me personally. Like, I can see myself playing this deck and having a great time. And if regenerate turns out to be too tricky for newbies (or me, lol), there are only 6 cards I'd need to swap out. Quick question -- I've not really played much green; is 35 lands really enough for this deck? I usually put a minimum of 37 lands in my decks. Anway, I ordered the entire thing last night through CK, and super keen to give it a go! Cheers.

Glad you liked it! I've found that with enough ramp (10 in this deck), 35 works well from me. My standard was 37 in all my decks for a decade, but ive cut most of my decks to 35 or 36 with better ramp. The weakness of this deck is that a lot of the ramp is with creatures, and a board wipe really sets you back

@Camp_MTG Hey mate! Thanks for getting back to me. I tried out 37 lands and it does feel like slightly too much. But in general, I am in love with this deck. I've swapped 5 cards, but even before that, it plays exactly how I wanted it to, and new players are indeed able to pick it up real quick. Cheers!

If your commander is put back in the zone and you have 12 creatures. Does the two extra creatures negate the additional 2 cost of bringing the commander out of the zone again?

The cost reduction DOES reduce the commander tax, yes, so thats a nice bonus! Minor correction though, it reduces ghaltas cost based on the total power of creatures you control, not the number of creatures you control. So you need a lot less creatures out to cast him for cheap!

@Camp_MTG awesome Thanks for the response and the additional tip.! I'm making a bunch of budget commander decks for my buddies, and I, we haven't played magic for over 10 years These videos are a great help!

What power level would you say this deck is?

It feels at home with the mid level precons, hope that helps!

What would you remove to add the upgraded cards?
@Camp_MTG

Depends on what cards you'd put in, but matching matching similar cards at similar mana costs is an easy way to do it, for example circle of dreams druid is a ramp card at 3 mana, so Id replace leaf guilder or llanowar visionary. Song of the dryads is a 3 mana removal spell so I'd replace broken wings. For Old gnawbone I'd pull one of the 7 mana creatures. Hope that helps and if you need anything more specific you can let me know!
