I think this version of Ghalta is more combo focused, you can see she doing her shenanigans at Galina - Ghalta - Vaevictus - Atraxa || Akiri // Bruse - Xenagos - Olivia - Xenagos EDH / CMDR game

Problably she picked Ghalta only to take value of Soul's Majesty

I have a Tatyova deck and it's insane. I think I win about 75% of the time. It kills me that she costs a dime!

@hfzelman I've never played a Gitrog deck, so I don't know. I was actually buying cards to build one but then Tatyova came out and I put her in my Kruphix deck and she was so good that I converted that deck over. Gitrog is probably better. It was just easier to switch a deck I already had over instead of building a new one from scratch.

@hfzelman Same here. I have Zegana in my deck and she's incredible, too.

I think the main difference here is that Gitrog and Tatyova cater to different strategies, despite both having land-based synergies. They both are insane value engines, but Tatyova's access to blue leads her to a more controlling playstyle due to counterspells and increased interaction. On the other hand, Gitrog gets access to black, leading to a more focused and combo-oriented playstyle as tutors let you find the exact cards you need. If you want to go extremely fast, Gitrog tends to be better, but it you want to go long, it's hard to out-value Tatyova!

As someone who just built a budget tatyova I'm not even against this. Perfect kind of answer!

The only set I like is the goblin one. My main issue is that I'd want a whole deck with that style of art work, not just 5 cards.

@@cooldes4593 Taigam prevents your sorc/instants from being countered.

@@cooldes4593 Swords cannot be countered because Taigam is on board. When taigam ojutai master in on the battlefield, instants, sorceries and dragons the controller casts cannot be countered. Even when he does not attack to get the rebound trigger he is pretty powerful because you have no answers of getting rid of a threat on board until you spend mana to get rid of him. Most games I win with this commander myself personally has been just with approach of the second sun. (Rebound does not mean you win by just casting it btw as it going on the seventh on deck takes priority over the rebound trigger.) But anyways, also his power comes in removing threats without having much worry about them being countered and attacking with him and getting the rebound for extra turn spells and spell recovery spells that don''t exile themselves. As once again the exile effect of the spell takes precidence over the rebound effect meaning your spell is not rebounded. Means you can do broken stuff with him. Provided you have the manas.

How consistently do you get the LabMan win? Other than an infinite loop that I have in the deck (Lab Man, Oboro, Sakura-Tribe Scout, Retreat To Coralhelm & Tatyova), I would have to normally do it the hard way i.e. draw my entire deck slowly.

@@IcedNeonFlames alot of the time around turn 5 and on I've usually dug through my deck enough to hard cast enter the infinite followed by gush/gitaxian probe to finish off with lab man out

Growth Spiral lets you play a land from your hand as part of the resolution of the spell.
