A lot of these were all choices I made for my deck too. I think an emphasis on tokens and persist is the way to go with this deck. Goblin bombardment is great too.

Grumgully has quickly become the most degenerate deck I've ever built. Multiple combos everywhere. All the persist combos along with kiki, birthing pod, and protean hulk infinite combos. Easy to hard cast Protean hulk with red rituals early and the deck has sac outlets everywhere. Absolute monster of a deck.

Grumgully is certainly getting alot of attention from deckbuilders recently. His combo synergies are really good and he's a welcome addition to Gruul. I like the ramp potential with Jiang Yanggu, Wildcrafter

@@koreyg8552 why not both for redundancy? This is EDH we are talking about, 98 cards to sift through is a lot. More of the same effect ups the chances of you pulling it.

There are creatures that do the same thing and can be tutored for in the deck. Jiang is seriously the weakest option just the most recent.

If we go full goblins strategy then adding Wort, raid mother is great. She conspires your instant and sorcery spells and if the goal is to go wide we also benefit from the parallel lives and doubling season ability to get max token advantage

Because they’re expensive? Both in money and in mana cost. They’re also confusing with Persist combo. It’s just unnecessary.

And -1/-1 counters remove +1/+1 counters. They cancel each other out and remove each other.
