I'm currently building and I highly recommend replacing Shark Typhoon and Murmuring Mystic with 2 of the 4 mana Legendary copy spells. Spark Double and Irenicus's Vile Duplication will make copies of Alandra and double our output of Drakes and pump effects way more than the others.

That is definitely a fun twist. I wish I would have thought of that when coming up with this deck idea.

Another nice creature to include alongside Talrand and the Murmuring Mystic is Minn, Wily Illusionist. She synergizes quite nicely with the latter while triggering at the same time Alandra does. When the illusions die, you can freely dump out a ton of islands or whatever other nasty permanents you may have in your giant hand.

i noticed i had a collection of wizards with good card draw synergy so my alandra deck is taking form as a wizard tribal deck in addition to it’s other themes. they provide great abilities to boost the value of my card draw cantrips, interaction, and removal spells. i’ve also packed in some pretty punchy stuff like docent of perfection and cyclone summoner. also robe of the archmagi is a must include in this deck

Wizards are a fun build and it sounds like you’ve got a nice deck. I personally run Ertai the corrupted at the head of my wizards build.
