First off, congrats on 200 and you guys always do a great job. I’m a huge fan of Villineous Wealth but watching people play it remotely is brutal. I finished watching the episode but I checked out long before it’s conclusion.

ttuts Agreed. I get it because it’s the card he is known for and that is very on theme but a better choice probably could have been made. Stephen also had that Emrakul in his deck which doesn’t work well remotely either.

Oh man. Some of the best opening 20 minutes in Commander Vs history. The closing jib-jabs between Stephen and Justin were also classic. When I fast-forwarded to the end after the second VW, I hummed jaunty music like Kyle puts in when he fast-forwards. It just makes everything better. Normally, I’m a fan of the Wealth, but the webcam presentation just made me wish it had been Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate instead.

When the top copy resolves, top is on top of the library Then the original resolves and you draw the top

From the comprehensive rules in support of the above comment: 706.10b. A copy of an ability has the same source as the original ability. If the ability refers to its source by name, the copy refers to that same object and not to any other object with the same name. The copy is considered to be the same ability by effects that count how many times that ability has resolved during the turn.

@1:53:37 Jeremy cast Animist's Awakening for 20G, so the Hydra created from Zaxara should have 20 +1/+1 counters, not 21. As Justin said moments before.

This is very, very, very late, but Jeremy couldn't Fuse the Wear/Tear as Fusing a card is an option *only* when casting it from hand (read the Fuse reminder text on the bottom of the card).

Has to pause the video at 12:36 just to type this :P I think everyone should get 0.25 point, they all contributed to Jon dying from commander damage: - Steven, Jeremy and Justin each did 7 point of commander damage - Jon cast his commander allowing them to kill him with commander damage!

Sunbird's Invocation from Villanous Wealth: It's true the Invocation wants you to cast stuff from your hand, but it wouldn't work anyway, since all the spells with Wealth are cast at the same time. They all enter the stack simultaneously, so they can't get any cast triggers from each other. I know Villainous Wealth is complicated (I do watch this show after all :) ) but a good rule of thumb to remember is that they are cast at the same time, and you only decide their order in the stack. Thanks for the game!

39:20 he should have put the top back on top of his library when the copy resolved, then drew it with the original. The source is unchanged when you copy an ability.

Cabal Coffers does not tap for 5 Mana when he plays Hydroid Krasis, it adds a black for each swamp, not for each land.

I know Stephen and Justin have their back and forths, but Stephen targeting Justin with the Woodfall Primus trigger was just a very low point. The clear target was Jeremy, but Stephen basically just did it for the lols. Otherwise, this was a decent game, and while a little anticlimactic for a 200th, still showed what Commander is all about: crazy turns and big spells!

I just cast villainous wealth for x=100 with infinite mana on my friends Planeswalker atraxa deck. Since he doesnt die until he draws. I was able to activate all of his planeswalker abilities. When I explained what was going to happen. He flipped the table lol.

Justin and Jon are both wrong about the copied Divining Top ability. The top will be put on top by the copy, which will be drawn when the orginal resolves. The source of the ability is still the same thing and refer to the same object. It would be different if Tawnos were to create a token copy of the artifact, which would then simply vanish from the top of the library.

mis-play with the villainous wealth, all cards you choose to cast with it are cast all at once in what ever order you choose, while Padeem would fight and from the torn mammoth you couldn't have targeted the artifacts on Justin's board till he was gone which he wouldn't have been till all the targets were chosen by the cast spells.

@jonathan Even in a Zidra Companion deck, you can play Urborg, since it is not a swamp naturally and does not tap for black mana naturally.

It does not have an activated ability, so it cannot be played in a deck with Zirda as a companion. It has a static ability that creates an activated ability.

Urborg made every land a swamp. He could tap one of his two forests for black, he had blue through his Dual colored land, another forest for green and Reliquary tower.
