1:19:25 Colossus Hammer removes flying from the creature whenever it attaches. It does not keep removing flying, which is why Modern Hammer Time is good as Inkmoth Nexus as it provides flying again when you reactivate it. Akroma's Will would provide it with flying allowing him to block (Yes, Embercleave would fall off before it is red.)
Doesn't Jon have to draw and lose 1 life when he attacked Cory for lethal putting him to 7 life then Cory sacs 7 creatures and Jon dies before he can gain life.
All damage is put on the stack that includes gain life damage. Then all damages resolved. Once damage is resolved your gain life has to resolve and then when the stack is empty you die
@@adambuechler9130 no... damage does not use the stack, nor does the stack have to be empty for someone to die, you die whenever state based actions are checked(which is pretty much any time a spell is not CURRENTLY resolving) if you have a lose condition(having 0 or less life, 10 or more poison counters, ect, ect). What Leonard said is correct, a trigger goes on the stack when Jon attacked saying Jon has to draw 1 card and lose 1 life, this happens after he declares the attack but before the actual damage step, before even blockers are declared this happens, this was the time where Corey did his sac 7 things to desperately find an answer, but he technically didn't need an answer for Jon, they just ignored Jon's trigger to have lost a life, which is not a may ability. In other words, yeah this game should've ended up being Corey vs Stephen at the end, probably resulting in Stephen winning unless one of those cards Corey drew was a boardwipe, then he might've had a chance.
Jon should have lost a life on attack. Corey could have killed him before blockers. Jon forgot the trigger when it was most advantageous. He remembered every other turn.
Director point system -1 pt ugly/incorrect version of a card -1 pt mismatched tokens (docent of perfection makes human wizards that look insect-y) -1 pt not enough dice for counters -1 pt for for every incorrectly answered judge question -2 pt missing tokens +1 pt if the video performs above average +2 pt if a cast member says a demonetized word +1 pt for every correctly answered judge question +2 pts for catching a cheater
I love the content folks as always. I do struggle with Corey’s constant desire to attack/kill Jeremy when Jon is the obvious threat. It’s happened in almost every game in the last couple of seasons and I don’t understand it. However, I am also not in their playgroup so it may just be a running gag between the two of them. It’s just just frustrating to never see Jeremy get to play his decks.
Had John taken the 1 damage from Syr Gwen (to draw a card because he attacked with a creature) when he attacked with Danitha, it could have been a slightly different outcome.
Yep, the only attack from John that doesn't leave him dead to Corey imploding his board is Rogue's passage on an unequipped Syr Gwyn for lethal commander. Of course, the board still implodes knocking John to 1...
I would really like these camera settings to be figured out. Having blurry video on half the players and the deck tech camera is too much. Topdown looks okay and Corey/John's camera looks good, but damn, the other cameras scuffed.
I thought Jon was wrong about that hammer play "7/12/2019 If the equipped creature gains flying after Colossus Hammer became attached to it, it will keep flying." Gatherer agrees.
Hey guys! love the shows and the content. I say this not out of anything other than wanting the show to be the best it can possibly be - If you need some help with your audio/video please don't hesitate to reach out. I work in live entertainment and know some great people in the Carolinas that would be more than happy to give your set up a once over and smooth out any issues you may have things like the blurry cameras and inconsistent audio. Love the content and cant wait to see what's in store for the upcoming season!
John missed so many Syr Gwyn triggers for attacking with an equipped creature 😂 isn't that the whole point of having her, card advantage/draw in the command zone
I love that Corey is like, I will not try to harm Stephen Green in hopes Stephen will not attack him back. But Stephen's deck tech is straight up destroy Corey
"I'm going to make piece with Steven geen. This season all the love to Steven." 1st attack of the season....I attach Steven green. Lol and the spite continues
What is happening with the quality? First it was the resolution, and now the sound? Love the show, I dont critic the contain. Just want to appreciate it in better quality XD
Jon is a try hard in my opinion, not matter how much the rest want to build fun and balanced decks he just says "nah, I play to win all the time lawl I'm awesome"
I'm so tired of Corey King-making for Jon. Also, tired of "Spike Voltron Suarrez" playing cedh when everyone else is trying to be entertaining. I would LOVE to see Jeremy kick it into high gear, play OP decks, and smash Jon and Correy all season long. It'd be a nice, refreshing change from watching Jeremy get mercilessly bullied every game.
It’s frustrating, but he kind of refuses to play politics and it ends up losing him the game. He won’t team up with Corey, and Stephan and Jon know this so they feel free to punch him.
You guys not bothering with any quality checks? The camera on Jeremy and Stephen is incredibly blurry, the individual deck intro videos are even worse.
Seems like they should have agreed on deck power levels before they played. Jeremy is playing one of the strongest commanders ever so he underpowered his deck, while John did the opposite.
