Magic being part of the new ownership group is good for Washington, like it was good for the Dodgers. He’s likely not gonna be much involved with the day-to-day running of the team, but he’s a good public face. No matter who owns this team, the Lakers will always be his first love, whether it’s good for the Lakers or not.

I honestly thought I'd die without a football team. Dan was too close to my age for me to have hope so this is a great day. As soon as the ink is on the paper I buy a jersey and pursue season tickets again.

The NFL and Washington's new owner should pull a Ravens here. Retire the [REDACTED]/Football Team/Commies franchise and make a new Franchise for DC. The old name is problematic, the new name sucks and everyone wants it changed. Reboot the franchise. New name, colors and Stadium. Retire the history of the old franchise. Dan Snyder ruined the club's reputation on top of the terrible naming from racist to transition to bland and boring. Like I say scrap it and start over. The DC Redtails would be a great name or the DC Wolves and drop red from their colors altogether. They need to distance themselves from the awful brand of the old/current franchise.

It's always weird when people call the NFL a $9 Billion dollar league. That was revenue, one season, a long time ago. They get more than that in TV on any single season now. The league, is actually the collective of the 32 franchises. And an above average franchise like the Redskins just went for $6 Billion. The Broncos sold for over $4.5 Billion just last year. The Cowboys, Steelers, or 49ers could pull $10 Billion on the open market today, easily. If I am conservative, I will say the average franchise is worth $4.5 billion right now. Times 32? That is a $144 Billion league... Why bother blabbering about that? Because even though a $220 Million a year salary cap sounds high to us peasants....that cap is too low. Bump it up! The value of a guaranteed contract has to go into escrow, and they can afford it. Bump up the cap.

I was a 'skins fan until Synder destroyed the team. Change the name. Maybe I'll come back. Doesn't have to be Redskins, just anything besides the current name.

If only Pat Macafee wasn't so broke from Brett Favre's lawsuit he could have bought the Commanders. I say that in jest, but that's the only way the name is changing. The Commanders name lead by Dan Snyder was a joke. Lead by Josh Harris and Magic Johnson? I know Pat and the sychophants aren't intelligent to do research about the Dodgers after being acquired by a Magic Johnson group in 2012, but the Dodgers made the playoffs every single year after 2013.

One thing you guys missed when talking about Harris. He also owns the NJ devils hockey team and A he is not afraid to go after the blockbuster power move (getting Lamar) but he's also patient enough to let the chips fall and build a strong foundation for years of success. He did exactly that with the devils they traded for Taylor hall ( at the time a top line elite winger) but he also understood that drafting was more important and that method is paying massive dividends now as the devils are 3rd best record in the NHL have a tremendous core of draft picks that are now paying off and allowed for them to make a massive blockbuster trade this year. Yes I know the devils were gifted the first overall pick twice in a 3yr span but beyond the obvious top choice they drafted EXTREMELY WELL in later rounds (Blake Coleman Jesper boquist and Jesper bratt) are all later round picks that are lineup locks now except for Coleman they traded him for a first and Tampa's top prospect at the time.

These guys are misinformed. Good Lord. It is going to take a while to formalize everything & settle in. They won't have any input on personnel for a while & certainly not prior to the draft. They likely won't be able to make big changes until next off-season. They are not going after Jackson. Please just shut up about this already. HTTR
