Well, my grandpa gave me his Chevy c1500 4.3L 5 speed step-side because he didn’t want me driving a fast vehicle. The question is whether you want your son’s truck to be fast.

I think that the 5.3 in the 91 and then 6.0 in the 95 . And do the motor work to the 6.0 and see what the trans will do . Then if need be you got a trans if needed (all though i know automatic out of the denali)

So one of my homies sold me his old 01 Tahoe with 180000 miles and super great condition inside and out no rust anywhere or body damage for only $600, it lasts for about 9 months and then the torque converter goes bad so I decide to rebuild the transmission due to the amount of miles it has and when I get the transmission back from the shop it goes out one week later after getting it back, I'm wondering if that was just a fluke or if I should just have them rebuild the transmission cuz it's under warranty and then sell it before it starts giving me headaches even though I really really really want to keep it LOL
